Rousay Egilsay & Wyre Development Trust

Rousay Egilsay & Wyre Development Trust Rousay, Egilsay & Wyre Development Trust is a charity led by a Board of volunteer Directors, elected by members in our community. Co. Reg.

Together, our Directors research, prioritise, manage, and deliver exciting projects for the benefit of our community. We as a community need to strengthen the islands' infrastructure and create opportunities to develop a robust economy, a healthy population and an improved quality of life for all. This will help to guarantee that the islands' services, infrastructure and facilities are retained an

d enhanced in the present, and for future generations. We have the basic ingredients: a living, working, environmentally and archaeologically important landscape, that supports a remote but proud community. No one wants to see these factors change, and we need to ensure that they remain part of the islands' character, but through our community projects, we aim to improve the quality of life for our community. Rousay, Egilsay and Wyre Development Trust is a charitable company limited by guarantee. No: SC318527 Charity Reg. No: SC040407

Following all the positive feedback we have another day planned with Tim. This time the focus will be slightly more on our seed collection efforts for the Windbreck Wildflower project (WWP).

There will still be ID'ing, but we will be having some discussions around shaping the wildflower project and collecting some key specimens. Now would be great time to join if you fancy being part of this! WWP volunteers have already enjoyed a really pleasant relaxing session collecting some seeds.

Absolutely no prior experience or knowledge required.

Some feedback from our last event:

‘Please pass on my thanks to Tim for sharing his expert knowledge with us. It was very informative.’

‘It was an ace day!!!!! Thanks for organising’

'It was a really great day. Please do tell Tim I learned a lot’

Spaces filled up quickly last time, so do get in touch if you'd like to join.

Hope to see lots of you there 😀You don't need to bring anything to join in!
