Pathfinder is our high school program built on a simple but powerful belief, that every student who wants to be part of something should have a community to belong to. It's a space where young people are seen, challenged, and championed as they discover who they are and what they're capable of becoming.

What makes a space feel different?

It’s not just what happens — it’s how it feels. The chants, the shared energy, the moments that bring everyone into sync.

This one found its way to us through the African Leadership Academy… and now it’s part of who we are.

This past weekend, our Pathfinders stepped into a different kind of classroom.

Through chess, they explored what it means to know who you are, understand who you can become, and focus on what you can control.

After a series of shared games and deeper conversations, students built confidence, practiced kindness, and leaned into a community that chooses growth.

13 years ago, one Imagine Scholar from Nkomazi was accepted into the African Leadership Academy and it completely broke open what we thought was possible. ✨

Every year since, we’ve had the privilege to send two alumni to ALA. And this year, we’re proud to be sending another two.

Mirriam and Joseph, from Mbambiso Secondary School and Joseph Matsebula Secondary School, they’ve both been accepted into ALA with full scholarship worth over R1 million.

They truly embody what it means to be Imagine Scholars, and we can’t wait to see the impact they’ll make in this next chapter. 🌍💚

Chantel Masilela, one of our alumni, recently completed an 18-month high-level self-development journey through the The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award and was awarded the prestigious Gold Award, the highest level of the program.

Even more special… the award was presented by the President of Kenya himself.

An incredible milestone and a powerful reflection of dedication, growth, and impact. We’re so proud! 🌍✨

Huge congratulations to Vuyo Mhlongo, Imagine Scholar and matriculant from Lugebhuta Secondary School, for being awarded Best Learner in the Ehlanzeni District.

Vuyo’s message to fellow Grade 12s says it all:

“If you fail, it’s on you. If you succeed, it’s on you. Take ownership. Use every resource. Ask for help. Stay consistent. Give yourself the best chance to succeed.”

We believe in agency. We believe in excellence. And we believe in young leaders who choose both.

This week, we hosted our Annual Pre-University Departure Program for our recent high school graduates heading into tertiary education this year. We were grateful to have our alumni join us to share honest insights, experiences, and lessons from their university journeys.

As Imagine Scholar expands, the essentials matter more than ever — clean drinking water, safe bathrooms, and reliable power.

1. Clean Water for Every Scholar – permanent filtration
2. Eco-Smart Toilets – safe, sustainable sanitation
3. Campus Power Upgrade – stable electricity for more learning
