Im reposting what i posted last year , I will also repost Finding Funders part 2 .

How to find Funders using Google ( Part One)

The key words I use when searching for funding on Google are donation, foundation and csi.

1) Google penbev donation ( for npos in the Western Cape) and the donation form for coca cola comes up. Google Shoprite donation, and the online application for Shoprite donations comes up.

2) Google pep csi, and the online application for pep stores comes up.

3) Google Hollywood foundation, Hollywood's foundation details on how to apply for funding come up.

It's that easy, take the corporate you want to apply to, Google it with, csi, or foundation, or donation, see what comes up, sometimes youre lucky, sometimes nothing comes up.

By just doing the above, you will get acess to the 4 funders (Shoprite / Pep / Penbev / Hollywood)

Once you add your chosen corporate / organization in front of the key words you can have acess to many more funders

Now get googling and go for it.

Create your own Donor Database and keep adding as you find more contacts , Thats what i did , started with 1 donor and just kept adding.

If you run an NPO this is what you need for your NPO

01/06/2023

This June we will have a bookkeeping workshop. I'm really not happy that most NPOs are not going to get NLC funding simply because they failed to keep financial records. Now they have to wait another two years to be able to qualify for NLC funding (provided they start doing things the right way).

I will keep you updated. But it will be in week two or three of the month.

We will discuss the importance of bookkeeping, how to keep financial records, and how to record financial transactions amongst other things.

A case of r**e was brought to our attention.
The sensitive part of this story and that will break any persons heart is that it happened to a 5yrs old girl.
Our children should not be violated in any way what so ever.
Ekurhuleni Thatha-Zonke Anti-crime Unit referred this case to us as it happened in EdenPark and we jumped on it, teamwork gets the results.
Long story made short due to the fact it’s an on going investigation.
We arrested one suspect and made a brief appearance in court.

Hopefully that young girl will get closure, we can’t undo what was done but we will stand up and be her voice.

Our children comes first.

The sad part in all of this is that the Department expects organisations to comply and meet their requirements even though there is not enough funding. My cry goes out to all of the beneficiaries who solely dependent upon the food parcels, and the children who relied on the daily meals they would receive to NGOs which serviced them.

Panyaza Lesufi has his own optimistic views about focusing on providing support to drug addicts, skills development and the homeless, but this is something he will do at the cost of the Orphans and Vulnerable Children, people living with HIV, the disabled, Child headed and youth headed households...
