At AwareYouth360, we believe that programmes like the CareerXperience 2026 Roadshow are a powerful source of inspiration for young people.

Seeing learners explore career opportunities, engage with exhibitors, connect with industry professionals and ask meaningful questions reminds us of the importance of creating spaces where young people can discover their potential and envision brighter futures.

Programmes such as these don’t just open doors, they inspire young minds to dream bigger, make informed choices and take meaningful steps towards their future.

We applaud initiatives that continue to expose and empower our youth with knowledge, opportunities and connections that can shape their journeys.

Keep inspiring. Keep connecting. Keep empowering.

We remember Elizabeth “Tsontso” Moselakgomo and the other women's lives that we recently taken. 💛

A woman who simply went out for one of her regular afternoon jogs should have been able to return home safely. Her tragic passing is a painful reminder that women and girls deserve to move freely, exercise, work, travel and live their everyday lives without fear.

Our thoughts are with Tsontso’s family, friends, loved ones and everyone whose life she touched.

May her memory strengthen our collective call for a safer South Africa — one where every woman and every girl can live, move and thrive without fear.

Run in peace, Tsontso. 🕊️💛

At AwareYouth360, stories like Thembi Sekhapha’s remind us why youth empowerment, skills development and social change matter.

It motivates us to see young women stepping boldly into spaces such as Mechanical Engineering, spaces where they are not only learning theory but applying their knowledge, getting their hands dirty, solving real-world problems and building the practical skills needed to shape their futures.

Thembi’s honesty about the challenges is equally powerful. The journey is not always easy. There will be moments of doubt, pressure and breaking down, but resilience is built by continuing to move forward, knowing that difficult moments will pass.

To every young woman pursuing engineering and other traditionally male-dominated fields: you belong there. Your presence matters, your skills matter, and your voice matters.

We celebrate young women who are challenging stereotypes, acquiring skills and becoming the changemakers our communities need. Your journey is bigger than a qualification—it is part of the social change we want to see.

To our sisters in engineering: keep learning, keep building, keep getting your hands dirty, and keep making space for those coming after you. Your success can become someone else’s permission to dream.

AwareYouth360 welcomes the partnership between the National Empowerment Fund (NEF) and the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) to establish the National Youth Fund.

This is a significant step towards creating more meaningful opportunities for young South Africans to start, sustain and grow businesses. Bringing together grant funding, loan finance, mentorship, compliance support, market access and practical business development can help address some of the barriers that continue to limit youth entrepreneurship.

We are particularly encouraged by the Fund’s focus on sectors with strong potential for job creation and economic transformation, including manufacturing, infrastructure, renewable energy, the green economy, digital industries, agriculture and SMEs.

At AwareYouth360, we believe that empowering young people requires more than access to funding,it requires access to information, networks, skills, markets and opportunities.

We therefore welcome this partnership and encourage young entrepreneurs to stay informed, prepare their businesses, understand the eligibility requirements and take advantage of legitimate opportunities made available through the National Youth Fund.

The future of South Africa’s economy must include young people—not only as participants, but as creators, innovators, employers and leaders.

Let’s turn opportunity into action.

AwareYouth360° was truly honoured to take part in the 10th Annual organised by the Neema Foundation in collaboration with the Department of Women,Youth and Persons with Disabilities and the Gauteng Department of Sports,Arts, Culture and Recreation for the Deaf at Rietvlei Zoo Farm.

Being part of such a meaningful programme was a privilege and an opportunity to stand in solidarity with the Deaf community, promote greater awareness of sign language and champion a more inclusive society where everyone has equal opportunities and access.

We are especially inspired by this year’s theme, “Shine a Blue Light on Sign Languages,” and the event’s commitment to raising awareness and support in the fight against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide.

At AwareYouth360, we believe that meaningful change begins when young people come together, listen, learn and take action. We are grateful to have been part of a programme that brings communities together for a greater purpose.

Here’s to continuing to grow awareness, amplify voices, and build a more inclusive Gauteng for all.
