Important Update Regarding NPO Registration Applications

Dear Clients,

We would like to inform all current and prospective NPO registration applicants about recent challenges affecting the registration process with the Department of Social Development (DSD).

1. Changes to the DSD Registration System

DSD implemented a new registration system which has resulted in significant processing delays. Many applications have taken substantially longer than expected to receive feedback, and response times remain outside our control.

2. Real-Time Verification Requirements

The new system requires DSD to conduct real-time verification of office bearers and members submitted as part of the registration application. During this process:

Contact numbers provided must be active and reachable.
Email addresses must be valid and regularly monitored.
Individuals must be available to confirm their participation and consent in the organisation.
Failure to complete the verification process may result in applications being declined or delayed.
3. Applicant Responsibility

To avoid unnecessary delays, applicants must ensure that:

All information submitted is accurate and up to date.
Contact details are correct.
All office bearers are aware that DSD may contact them at any time during the verification process.
4. Our Commitment to You

We remain committed to supporting all our clients throughout the registration process. Where an application is unsuccessful due to verification-related issues, we will assist in resubmitting the application in accordance with the service purchased.

Please note that while we prepare and submit applications on your behalf, DSD's processing times, verification procedures, approvals, and final decisions remain entirely beyond our control.

5. Communication

We encourage all clients to:

Check their emails regularly.
Keep their phones available and reachable.
Notify us immediately if any contact details change.
