ResQ One members rejoined search efforts along the Crocodile River on the Kamagugu Road. Working alongside SAPS and other volunteers, police divers successfully located and recovered the third missing occupant involved in the 07/06/2026 motor vehicle accident.

ResQ One members attended a heavy motor vehicle accident on the N4 involving two trucks.

Members assisted with containing a diesel and oil spill resulting from the collision. Working alongside TRACN4 teams, the spill was successfully contained and cleaned to help ensure the safety of road users and prevent further hazards.

We would like to thank all responding services and personnel for their teamwork and professionalism on scene.

⚠️ Diesel and oil spills can create extremely dangerous driving conditions. We urge motorists to remain alert, reduce speed when approaching incident scenes, and follow the instructions of emergency personnel.

🚨 04/06/2026 – 18:43
📍 N4 Montrose
Members assisted with the closure of the N4 and diverted traffic via Schoemanskloof during truck recovery operations. The roadway was safely reopened at 00:20.

Members assisted on the Kamagugu road with scene safety, ensuring a safe working environment for EMS personnel to treat the patient and for recovery operators to recover the vehicle.

Members attended recovery operations involving a vehicle that had left the roadway and entered the Crocodile River. ResQ One remained on scene assisting until standing down at 15:34.

🚨 Missing truck driver reported from a truck on the N4.

🚨 Truck trailer carrying diesel detached from the towing vehicle.

🚨 Pedestrian vehicle accident on Schoemanskloof.

🚨 Two-vehicle collision on the R104 near Valley Hyper.

🚨 Two-vehicle collision on the Kanyamazane Road.

Our members assisted with scene safety, traffic management where required, scene lighting, and support to emergency services on scene.

Over the weekend, ResQ One responded to multiple motor vehicle accidents, where our members assisted by ensuring scene safety, providing lighting, and supporting emergency services where needed.

Our priority remains the safety of all responders, patients, and road users while assisting alongside other emergency services on scene.

ResQ One members were activated following reports of a head-on collision involving two vehicles on the N4 Schoemanskloof.

The collision involved a bakkie and a taxi.

ResQ One members assisted with scene safety and crowd management, ensuring a safe and controlled environment for all emergency personnel.

Scene safety was later handed over TRAC N4 Toll Route

🚨 WEEKEND INCIDENT RESPONSES – 11–12 APRIL 2026

ResQ One members responded to multiple incidents over the weekend in and around Mbombela:

📍 Samora Machel Street, Nelspruit (11/04/2026)
A single vehicle lost control and left the roadway. One occupant was found entrapped. Despite efforts alongside EMS, the patient sadly succumbed to injuries on scene.

📍 R40 Showgrounds (12/04/2026)
A single vehicle rollover was reported. No injuries were sustained. ResQ One assisted with scene safety and roadway clean-up.

📍 R538 (12/04/2026)
A taxi left the roadway, with two patients treated by paramedics. ResQ One assisted with brush clearing, enabling EMS to safely remove the patient and allow towing to recover the vehicle.

We thank all government and private emergency services for their teamwork and dedication.

🚨 INCIDENT RESPONSE – TRUCK TRAILER FIRE

📅 06/04/2026

ResQ One members were activated through Nelspruit Concerned Citizens following reports of a truck trailer fire on the N4, approximately 2–4km from the Valencia Split in the direction of Nelspruit.

🕒 Arrived on Scene: 21:00
🕒 Departed Scene: 22:28

Upon arrival, members found the truck trailer well alight, with members of the public looting the trailer.

ResQ One members worked to contain the situation, establishing a secure perimeter and scene safety, as well as setting up scene lighting to assist firefighting operations.

This allowed Mbombela fire services to focus on extinguishing the trailer fire safely and effectively.
Scene safety was later handed over to TRAC N4.

Reports indicated one vehicle had left the roadway with a patient entrapped inside.

ResQ One members assisted Barberton Fire with operations on scene, providing support where required.
