Happy Youth Day to the vibrant, resilient, and fearless young minds of South Africa! ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆโœจ

Today, we honour the courage of the students of 1976 by recommitting ourselves to the children of 2026. At Childline Free State, we believe that "Youth Empowerment" begins with "Youth Protection."

A child who feels safe is a child who can lead, create, and dream without limits. Today, we celebrate the potential of every young person in the Free State and beyond.

How are you celebrating our youth today? Share your photos or a message of encouragement for the next generation below! ๐Ÿงก

On the 5th of June, Childline Mpumalanga visited Chweni Primary School and Mgcobaneni Primary School to raise awareness among learners about Childline and the importance of child protection.

During the visit, learners were educated about the four types of abuse:
๐Ÿ”น Physical Abuse
๐Ÿ”น Emotional Abuse
๐Ÿ”น Sexual Abuse
๐Ÿ”น Neglect

We also discussed the signs of abuse and the different ways children can report abuse or seek help when they feel unsafe. Our aim is to empower children with knowledge, encourage them to speak out, and ensure they know that support is available.

Together, we can create safer environments where every child is protected, heard, and valued. ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ’™ CHILDLINE MPUMALANGA CAP WEEK 2026 ๐Ÿ’™

What an incredible week of creating awareness, empowering learners, and promoting child protection across our communities!

Throughout CAP Week, our dedicated social workers visited various schools to educate learners about Childline services, childrenโ€™s rights, and the four types of abuse: physical, emotional, sexual abuse, and neglect. We encouraged learners to speak up, seek help, and support one another in creating safe and caring environments.

A heartfelt thank you to all the schools, educators, learners, parents, and stakeholders who welcomed us and actively participated in our sessions. Your support helps us continue building a future where every child is heard, protected, and valued.

Together, we are making a difference, one conversation, one learner, and one school at a time. ๐Ÿ’™
