🌟 Mama Sophia’s Community Appeal 🌟

We’re excited to share that our centre is undergoing renovation —thanks to the incredible generosity of supporters like you! Your donations have helped transform our classrooms and learning spaces into an environment where our children will thrive.

Now, to complete our mission and ensure the children have a fully functioning kitchen space, we are seeking donations of the following appliances:

🔹 60 cm electric oven with gas hob
🔹 Air fryer
🔹 Microwave
🔹 Fridge

With these items, our students will be able to prepare meals and learn cooking skills.

🌍♻️ Join Us in Celebrating Global Recycling Day at Mama Sophia's! ♻️🌍

This Global Recycling Day, we’re excited to invite our wonderful community to join us in making a positive impact on our planet! 🌱💚 At Mama Sophia’s, our students are learning the importance of recycling, and we need YOUR help to make it happen!

✨ How you can help: We’re collecting plastic bottles, tin cans, toilet roll holders, egg cartons, milk bottles, bottle caps, and paper to be sorted and recycled by our amazing learners! This is a great opportunity to get involved and contribute to a sustainable future while supporting our students in their recycling initiative.

Drop off your recyclables at the centre, and let’s work together to make a greener world while empowering the next generation! 🌿

📫A Fun Learning Adventure: Exploring the Post Office📫

Today, our learners visited the local post office!✉️ it was an incredible opportunity for them to learn about the important role the post office plays in our community.

Our learners enjoyed exploring the services offered and meeting the friendly staff.

Learning through real-world experiences like this helps our learners build practical knowledge and understand the world around them in a meaningful way.⭐️

Our learners at Mama Sophia's are working hard to keep our environment clean by recycling. You can help them by dropping off the following materials: plastic bottles, tin cans, toilet roll holders, bottle caps, newspapers and magazines, and paper.

All you have to do is collect your recycling items in any disposable bag and drop it of at Mama Sophia's, and we will do the rest!

It is an amazing activity to get your family involved in and to teach them about being responsible in their environment!

There is a large black bin at the front gate of the centre to make drop offs easier! We look forward to taking care of your disposables in a safe and responsible way😉

🎄✨ What a magical way to end the year! ✨🎄

Our learners had an unforgettable time at our Christmas party! From festive decorations to laughter and joy, the day was filled with special moments celebrating the holiday spirit. 🎅🤶

A huge thank you to all the incredible staff, volunteers, and donors who made this day possible. Your kindness and dedication bring smiles to our learners every day, and events like this are a reminder of the joy we can create together. 🌟

As we wrap up the year, we’re filled with gratitude for all the progress, laughter, and memories we’ve shared. Here's to another year of growth, love, and support for our amazing learners! 💖

Today we celebrated Disability Awareness by celebrating the uniqueness of our learners. Parents and caregivers were invited to watch a certificate ceremony and as a thank you for their on-going support the learners performed some song and dance for them.

At Mama Sophia's we are extremely proud of each learners courage to be who they are and be continously taking steps to their growth and development. I am especially proud of the staff of Mama Sophia's for all of the hard work and effort that they put in to create a safe and supportive environment for our learners.

Together, we can continue to break barriers and make dreams come true❤️

November is National Adoption Month, as well as the month of Disability Awareness. This brings about a beautiful reminder that every child deserves love and a chance to shine. Together, we can take this spirit of love even further by supporting a disabled learner's education.
