At T.Y.P we are truly encouraged by the unity and commitment shown by different stakeholders as we continue working together to create a cleaner and more learner-friendly environment at Mononong Primary School.

We would like to sincerely acknowledge the Department of Correctional Services, particularly the Baviaanspoort Correctional Facility, for their meaningful involvement and willingness to serve the community through action. We would like to sincerely thank and appreciate everyone who came through on Saturday to help ensure that Mononong Primary School remains clean, safe, and welcoming for our children.

A school is more than just a building. It is a space of learning, growth, protection, and hope. As parents and as a community, we believe that any threat or intrusion into our children’s safe space must first come through us.

After all, it truly takes a village to raise a child.

Your unity, commitment, and willingness to serve reminded us of the power of community working together for the future of our children. Thank you for standing up, showing up, and making a difference.

While our communities burn, futures are lost, and learners drop out before they even begin to rise, we cannot stand by and pretend this is normal. Even graduates full of potential are left frustrated in a system already under pressure. Alcohol is not just a personal choice, it is quietly pulling families, dreams, and entire communities apart.

We refuse to be silent while this continues. Choose clarity. Choose purpose. Choose life. Say no to alcohol starting today. And to every schooler, protect your mind, your future, and your identity. What you become tomorrow depends on what you resist today.

Triumphant Youth Projects (TYP) proudly celebrates this defining moment for youth leadership within the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality.

We are deeply honored by the overwhelming trust placed in our Founder & Executive Director, Mr Klaas Thontsine-Sebothoma, whose uncontested support reflects the confidence of young people across all regions of Tshwane.

This is not just a victory, it is a responsibility. The youth have spoken, and the message is clear, leadership must now translate into action. The time to remove illegal liquor outlets operating within and around our schools is now. We must protect the future of our country by protecting our young people today, and we will not compromise on that responsibility.

TYP remains committed to advancing the interests of young people, protecting our communities from alcohol, and ensuring that laws meant to safeguard our future are actively enforced. The time for observation has passed, this is the time for delivery.

TYP’s Founder & Executive Director, Mr Klaas Thontsine-Sebothoma, was recently featured on PowerFM where he highlighted the risks of alcoholism, not leaving out government’s role in fueling this pandemic through lax regulations. It is of necessity for us as young people to approach the public domain with a clear conscience so that we are able to boldly call out what continues to hinder our youthful selves from prospering.

It is through the Community Care Tank (CCT) Initiative that communities will be educated about the dangers of alcohol consumption, more especially amongst school learners. This initiative is proudly sponsored by EduNerds, an online learning platform that seeks to ensure the success of every child.
