Feeding a Great Dane is its own science. Raised bowls, 6-10 cups a day, 2-3 meals -- not a suggestion. 🍽️

What feeding setup does your Dane have?

*** UPDATE ***
We are so so sad Tessa the beautiful dog that had an injured paw has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Her paw was infected and the poison spread quickly and we could not save her 💔😭

Thank you to Jason Chocolate Angels Animal Rescue for taking her to the vet this morning she passed away on the table. Peter is absolutely gutted 💔😭 🌈
Run free beautiful girl 🐕

💔😢 THIS IS EXACTLY WHY WE DESPERATELY NEED A RUNNING VEHICLE! PLEASE HELP US! 🚗🐾

Another heartbreaking situation that leaves us feeling helpless and broken. 💔
This beautiful dog injured her paw, and we did what we could by providing medication for her owner. But now, she has stopped eating, has started having seizures, and is becoming increasingly weak. She desperately needs urgent veterinary attention! 😭🐾

Sadly, nobody here is able to assist with transport to get this poor girl to a vet. We are watching her condition deteriorate, knowing that she needs help, and it absolutely breaks our hearts into a million pieces.😭 💔

If Angels for People and Animals Foundation had a running vehicle, we could get her to a vet and give her a fighting chance. Instead of watching her get weaker, we could be fighting for her life.
This is the heartbreaking reality of the work we do in our rural communities. There are so many animals suffering, so many desperate situations, and so many times when we simply cannot get help to them quickly enough because we have no transport. 💔

🙏🏻 PLEASE, WE ARE BEGGING FOR HELP!

We desperately need a running vehicle, even an old car that someone no longer uses. It doesn't have to be fancy or pretty. It just needs to run so we can get sick and injured animals to the vet, collect donations, and reach the people and animals who need us most.
Every day without transport means another animal could suffer while waiting for help. 💔
Please open your hearts and help us make a difference. If you cannot donate a vehicle, please share our appeal. You never know who might see it and be able to help us.

🐾 ONE VEHICLE COULD SAVE SO MANY LIVES. 🐾
With broken hearts but still holding on to hope,
❤️ Angels for People and Animals Foundation ❤️
Please also keep this precious girl in your prayers. She is loved and her owner is heartbroken 😭💔🙏🏻💔

💜🐾 ONE STEP CLOSER TO HOME… BUT OUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE IS STILL AHEAD! 🐾💜

What an absolute marathon it has been! 😮‍💨❤️

The big move to our new space is almost complete, and we are exhausted, emotional and hopeful all at once.

From getting the fencing sorted and the property secured, to moving household items, building new puppy areas and making sure everything is safe for our animals — it has been one enormous undertaking. And through it all, the animals still needed feeding, cleaning, care and attention every single day. 🐶🐱

But imagine what it will mean to have everything together in ONE space! Less running around, a more organised rescue, safer areas for the animals and a place where we can continue doing what we do best: giving unwanted, abandoned and injured animals a second chance. 💜

BUT NOW COMES THE BIG, BIG PUSH!

🏡 WE NEED A PERMANENT HOME FOR CHOCOLATE'S ANGELS.

We need to raise R1.2 MILLION for the land alone.

We want to secure a permanent home where we can build a future for the animals in our care — a place that cannot simply be taken away from us, and where we can continue rescuing for years to come.

The rest will be built step by step, through donations of fencing, poles, building materials, shade cloth and whatever else we can source. We know it won't happen overnight, but with the right people behind us, we believe we can make it happen. 🙏💜

💜 HOW CAN YOU HELP?

🐾 Every financial contribution brings us closer to securing the land.

🐾 Businesses can help with building materials, fencing, poles and shade cloth.

🐾 Builders, suppliers and local companies can partner with us.

🐾 Share this post and help us reach someone who may be able to make a real difference.

Even if you cannot donate, sharing costs nothing — and the right share could reach the person who helps change our future.

📄 A NOTE ABOUT OUR PBO

We are still waiting for our PBO approval, but we are hopeful that we are getting closer. Once the necessary approval is officially in place, we will be able to issue Section 18A tax certificates to qualifying donors, in accordance with the applicable requirements. We will share an update as soon as everything is finalised.

This is about more than land. It is about security, stability and a future for every animal who comes through our gates. 🐾❤️

We have come so far, but we cannot do this alone.

👇 We would love to know:
Can you help us reach our goal by donating, offering materials, connecting us with a business, or simply sharing our story?

Please tell us in the comments, tag a business that might be able to help, and share this post far and wide.

Together, let's turn this piece of land into a permanent sanctuary for the animals who need us most. 💜🐶🐱
