But the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. In that day the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fiery heat. The earth also and the works that are in it will be burned up.
Since then all these things will be dissolved, what kind of people you ought to be in holy conduct and godliness, as you look for and speed the coming of the day of God, in which the heavens will be on fire and dissolve, and the elements will melt with fiery heat!
2 Peter 3:10-12

Join us in praying for our global church. 🌎🙏

This October, Presiding Bishop Tim Coalter invites the global church to pray for these three areas: Unity, Urgency, and Unction.

Pray for unity — that our global church will remain one in Christ across every nation, language, and generation. Pray that we will listen to one another with humility, honor the gifts God has placed throughout the body, and work together in the mission of reconciling the world to Christ.

Pray for urgency — that, like the sons of Issachar, we will understand the times and know what the church should do—and why we should do it now. May we recognize the urgency of the harvest and remember, “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2).

Pray for unction — for the anointing of the Holy Spirit upon our pastors, leaders, and congregations. We need more than good plans and faithful effort/ We need God’s power to make Christ known and transform lives.

May we be a church marked by unity in our mission, urgency for the harvest, and the unction of the Holy Spirit.
