Dinatla Tsa Sechaba is a Non Profit Organisation based in Mogosane village, which is 17 kilo-meters in the north of Mmabatho - Mafikeng local municipality (ward 06). The initiation came into place after realizing that there is a need to address social problems such as poverty, consciousness and conscientisation of young people in our rural communities across ward 6 and rural communities in the out
skirts of Mafikeng Local Municipality. The organisation was established 2012 and was officially launched on the 16th of June 2015 and it was registered as legal entity on the 6th of August 2015. It has been dedicated to supporting children(orphans), /kids/pupils, youth, women, and elderly people in South African rural villages (Mogosane village in particular) The organisation is aiming to achieve a lot through the establishment of its educational and social welfare programmes which will provide “the tools necessary for sports recreation, eradication of poverty, obtainment of productive employment and develop academic and life skills, raise environmental awareness, and making influential contributions to the socio-economic development of the province and the country”
NB: DTS NPO seeks to achieve its mission through the capacity-building of Non Govemental Organisations, Community Based Organisations and the participation of community members and community leaders. DTS’s social cohesion, advocacy and socioeconomic transformation programmes are therefore shaped to create structural, sustainable environmental development and systemic change through social welfare programmes, education and community leadership. The organisation so far has hosted several successful marginal campaigns in local community, (incl. Youth day of action/ June 16 2015) specifically encouraging people in our rural villages to arise and act. Using own expenses and donations/contributions from community members to organise awareness campaigns, assisting kids/pupils especially the needy once by paying school trips (charities) and also organising entertaining events for elderly people etc.
