African vaccination day 24-30 April 2026

🌍 VACCINES PROTECT OUR FUTURE.

From 24–30 April 2026, The Northern Cape joins the Nation and the continent in African Vaccination Week. Vaccines are free, safe, and available at all public clinics and hospitals. They protect children and communities from deadly diseases like measles, polio, and cholera.

Too many children remain unvaccinated, leaving them at risk. This week is about closing the gap, making sure every child receives the protection they deserve. By vaccinating on time, we build healthier families, stronger hospitals, and a safer future for all.

Vaccines are free, safe, and available at your nearest clinic.

1. Health Advocacy & HIV/AIDS Awareness
We provide vital education on HIV, AIDS, TB, and STIs. By walking the streets of Empangeni and engaging with our neighbours, we break down the stigma surrounding these illnesses and encourage testing and treatment adherence.

2. The Treatment Support Kitchen
We know that medical treatment is most effective when paired with good nutrition. Our food kitchen serves as a lifeline for individuals on medical treatment, providing the healthy meals they need to stay strong and recover.

3. Green Schools & Clean Spaces
Our volunteers are the hands and feet of our organisation. We mobilise teams to:
Clean and Maintain Schools: Creating a safe, healthy atmosphere for learners.
Plant Community Gardens: Growing fresh food to sustain our kitchen and teach students the power of agriculture.
