Fezinkanyiso Youth Development Centre wishes all the Grade 12 learners writing their final examinations the very best of luck!

You have worked hard, sacrificed, and prepared for this moment. Now is the time to believe in yourselves, stay focused, remain confident, and give it your very best. Remember, one examination at a time, one question at a time, one step closer to your dreams.

Your background does not determine your future, and your circumstances do not define your potential. You are capable, you are prepared, and you have what it takes to shine!

As you step into this important chapter, remember our motto: Shine Bright! Shine Bright like the stars you are!

Wishing you strength, wisdom, and excellent results. Go out there and make yourselves, your families, and your communities proud!

Your future starts now. Make it count!

EMPOWERING YOUNG PEOPLE, BUILDING FUTURE LEADERS.

Fezinkanyiso Youth Development Centre is proud to celebrate the active participation and growth of our NYS participants.

Two of our participants, Thapelo Brian Sindane Blackchid and Zodwa Chriselda Sibanyoni, had the privilege of honouring an invitation to the Integrated Youth Development Strategy Consultation Process, hosted by the NYDA in collaboration with the Mpumalanga Office of the Premier and Nkangala District Municipality.

The consultation seeks to strengthen youth participation through targeted programmes and initiatives led by government, business and civil society, ensuring that young people are actively involved in shaping their future.

Furthermore, we celebrate Hlobisile Mtsweni, one of our NYS participants, who attended IEC training, gaining valuable knowledge and skills to contribute to civic education and democratic participation.

At Fezinkanyiso YDC, we believe that empowering young people with knowledge, skills and opportunities is key to building responsible, active and empowered citizens. We remain committed to creating opportunities that allow our youth to learn, participate and lead.

FEZINKANYISO NYS PARTICIPANTS SAY NO TO GBV!

Our Fezinkanyiso NYS participants are taking a stand against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and using their voices to promote a culture of respect, dignity, safety and accountability.

GBV is not a private matter - it affects individuals, families and entire communities. As young people, we have a responsibility to challenge harmful behaviours, speak out against violence, support survivors and become part of the solution.

Let us build communities where women and children are protected, where men are taught that violence is never acceptable, and where every person can live free from fear.

Our voices matter. Our actions matter. Together, we can say NO to GBV!

Building beyond the Classroom.

Our NYS participants are making a meaningful impact at Mpumelelo Secondary School, supporting learners not only academically, but also by helping them believe in their own potential.

Their support includes invigilation, study techniques, General Education Certificate (GEC) projects, and one-on-one consultations - creating a supportive environment where learners can ask questions, strengthen their understanding and prepare with confidence.

Education is not only about passing exams; it is about equipping young people with the knowledge, discipline and confidence to shape their future.

Together, we are investing in learners today to build a stronger tomorrow. When young people uplift young people, communities rise. ✊🏽📖

YOUTH IN ACTION | OUR VOICES, OUR FUTURE

Last week, our NYS participants were on the ground engaging and encouraging learners to take an active role in shaping the future by registering to vote.

Through meaningful conversations and voter education, they reminded young people that their voices matter, their choices matter, and their participation matters.

We believe in empowering young people not only with skills and opportunities, but also with the knowledge and confidence to participate meaningfully in our democracy.

The future belongs to those who show up and make their voices heard. 🗳️✊🏾
