Throwback to last Saturday!

Still smiling after our first ever Padel for Good fundraiser hosted by Friends with Compassion!

Padel for Good Fundraising Day

Friends With Compassion (FWC) invites you to take part in and support our Padel for Good Fundraising Day, taking place on 28 February at Club Padel Stellenbosch.

This special event brings together business leaders and community members for a meaningful day of sport, connection, and purpose — all in support of one clear goal: providing daily, nutritious meals to children in vulnerable Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres.

By entering the event, you directly support our fundraising goal of sustainable nutrition for children who need it most. Most importantly, your contribution helps transform a single day of generosity into meals on plates — every school day.

• Date: 28 February 2026
• Venue: Club Padel Stellenbosch
• Cost per player: R400 (Limited entries)
Includes refreshments and snacks on the day. Equipment rental excluded.

Let’s Set Our Little Learners Up for Success!

With the kids back at school for just over a week, some Grade R learners are still finding it difficult to settle because they didn’t start the year with the right tools. We’ve had several parents reach out to ask whether we can assist with essential stationery items.

Starting Grade R is a big milestone, and having the right stationery can make all the difference.

Through our Back-to-School Initiative, Friends with Compassion is helping young learners begin their school journey confident, prepared, and proud.

We Are Collecting Grade R Stationery, Including:
• 50-page Flip File
• Beginner pencil (triangular)
• Carry folder
• Ream of white copy paper
• Jumbo wax crayons (9s)
• Plastic cup
• Plastic apron
• Pritt
• Blank book
• Triangular colour pencils (12)
• Toilet paper

Your Support Truly Matters
We’ve already raised enough to help 20 young learners, but there are many more who need a great start to the school year.

By donating stationery or sponsoring a Grade R starter pack, you’re giving a child the tools they need to learn, create, and grow.

As we close this year, we do so with hearts full of gratitude. Friends with Compassion has achieved more than we planned for not just in numbers, but in lives touched and hope restored. Together, we’ve reached beyond our goals to bring care, dignity, and support to those who needed it most.

This journey was possible because of every volunteer, partner, and supporter who believed in our mission. Thank you for standing with us and for being the hands and hearts of compassion. As we step into a new year, let’s continue to spread kindness, build stronger communities, and make an even greater impact together.
