The African Union Chapter is a registered non-profit organization that endeavors to implement the African Union Agenda 2063 through the employ of African youth towards a prosperous and thriving African society. The youth are of paramount importance to achieve the fruition of the policies created by the African Union and the sovereign African states that compose it. The African Union Chapter togeth

er with its partners such as the African Union, Thabo
Mbeki Foundation, Khuli Chana, International Academic Programmes Office University
of Cape Town and Constitution Hill has worked create a platform for young people to aid
in the development of Africa and her people. Established on the 11 of November 2014 by Khutso Evelyn Modiselle and Tracy
Wamucii the intentions of the African Union Chapter are geared towards collaboration
with African youth within Higher Education Institutions, to appropriate the values of the
pan-African and African Renaissance. These values include democracy, human rights,
the promotion of gender and youth rights and equality, and the fight for equality as well
as the economic, social and political unity and stability for Africans. The University of
Cape Town African Union Club is the first African Union Chapter in African Higher
Education Institutions.
