Football for Worldwide Unity works with football coaches to help them develop the skills they need to build a sustainable future for them and their peers.

Within this approach, we are specialized in educating coaches from under

From Mozambique to Lesotho — and now South Africa! 🇿🇦⚽️

We’re excited to share that Sascha Bauer was working with coaches in Kleinmond, South Africa, as part of our new Kick & Cook initiative.

This project came together at the very last minute. After months of planning with our local partner, Grail Centre Trust, we were still waiting for the final funding confirmation. Thanks to the generous support of the Schmitz-Stiftungen, who stepped in with a €25,000 contribution, we were finally able to kick things off — quite literally! 🙌
Kick & Cook combines social football coaching with healthy nutrition education, empowering young people both on and off the pitch.

Our partner Força Foundation International is using the power of football to empower girls and young women in Mozambique. 💚⚽

Their mission is to give every girl the chance to play, lead, and reach her full potential, both on and off the pitch. FFWU and FF have been collaborating to use football as a tool for empowerment, equality, and opportunity.

We are so excited to have come back together for our joint coaching course in Xai Xai, Mozambique, this week! 🙏

Next stop: Maputo, Mozambique! ⚽️🌍

From 25–29 August, we’ll be hosting a coaching course in partnership with Associação Desportiva de Albazine (AdA). The club does incredible community work, running schools and local programs, with support from the Bavarian Football Association (BFV).

We’re especially proud to continue our collaboration with the ten AdA coaches we’ve supported over the past few years. In a country where political challenges have disrupted football calendars and led to cancelled official licence courses, sustainable coach development has never been more vital.

FFWU x MTHIMKHULU COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT - we’re developing a new project!

In Kleinmond, South Africa, many children and young people grow up in harsh conditions without adequate care, nutrition and spaces to play, develop and thrive.

Together with our local community partner, The Grail Centre Trust, we are going to change that with an impactful ntervention focussing on movement, nutrition and youth leadership.

The Mutola Cup is more than just a football tournament, it’s a movement for girls’ rights in Mozambique, created by our partner, Força Foundation.

🟢 Every match begins with a workshop for girls on sexual and reproductive health and rights.
🟢 During the game, the same information is shared with the audience around the pitch.
🟢 It reaches over 35,000 girls across the country, empowering them to effect change in their communities.

The regional phase of this summer’s tournament is just around the corner, but we still need €15,000 to make it happen.
