STRENGTHENING NPOs THROUGH COMPLIANCE & SUSTAINABILITY ๐ŸŒฑ

Today, Build-A-Life Foundation engaged with Utlwellang Basadi Organisation in Khutsong Extension 4 as part of our commitment to strengthening community-based organisations.

The engagement focused on NPO compliance, good governance and the importance of maintaining the necessary organisational records and requirements. We also shared practical sustainability strategies to help the organisation strengthen its operations, explore partnerships and funding opportunities, and reduce dependency on a single source of support.

We believe that empowered and compliant NPOs are better positioned to serve their communities effectively and create lasting impact.

โ€œThis guide is not intended to create additional bureaucracy,โ€ said MEC Nkomo-Ralehoko. โ€œIt is intended to help organisations succeed. The stronger your compliance systems are, the smoother our funding processes become, the more stable your organisations become, and the more effectively we deliver services to the people of Gauteng.โ€

The guide covers registration and statutory requirements, financial management and auditing standards, SLA obligations, governance and board management, step-by-step guidance on funding applications, and practical advice on maintaining compliance to prevent suspension of tranche payments
