This decision was taken following feedback from members regarding availability, with the aim of ensuring broader participation, meaningful engagement, and stronger networking opportunities for all stakeholders.

IBASA remains committed to creating interactive platforms that strengthen collaboration, professional connections, and member engagement. Additional networking and outreach initiatives will continue throughout the year.

This event is a key platform for bringing together Professional Individuals who are practitioners in their industries, government representatives, and various professional bodies and industry stakeholders.

As we begin a new year, I would like to extend my warmest greetings to you all. I hope that 2026 will be a year of growth, renewed energy, and continued progress for our institution and the vital work we do together in advancing the business advisory profession.

Your support, engagement, and contributions are what sustain our collective voice, strengthen our credibility, and ensure that we continue to deliver value to the industry and to one another.

Membership Renewal
As we begin the year, I would like to appeal to all members to prioritise the renewal of your IBASA membership. Membership renewals are not only a reflection of your continued commitment to the institution, but they are also central to IBASA’s financial sustainability and our ability to serve you effectively.

Your membership contributions provide the foundation that enables IBASA to maintain its operations, strengthen its programmes, advocate for the profession of business advisors, and continue delivering high-quality professional development programmes.

I encourage all members to renew promptly and to support the growth of our institution by inviting other professionals to join our community.

Launch of Learning Materials – First Webinar of the Year
I am also pleased to share an exciting development for 2026: the launch of our new learning materials and professional development resources. These materials represent an important step forward in ensuring that IBASA members have access to relevant, high-quality learning opportunities that support both compliance and career advancement.

To mark this milestone, we will be hosting our first webinar of the year on 13 February 2026 from 12:00 pm- 14:00 pm. This session will officially introduce the learning materials and provide members with an overview of how these resources can be used to enhance professional practice and continuous development.

I encourage all members to attend in order to gain a clear understanding of the learning materials now available on the IBASA website, which will also form part of our CPD offering, and to take full advantage of this opportunity as we set the tone for a year of learning and collaboration.
