UPDATE: SHE HAS BEEN FOUND, BACK HOME WITH HER MOTHER AND THE STEPFATHER HAS BEEN ARRESTED.

KATHU: 9 YEAR OLD GIRL MISSING

The Kathu Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit are requesting the assistance of the public in locating 9 year old Mihlali Khanyiso Ludaba who went missing on Friday, 14 November 2025.

According to her mother she last saw her daughter Friday morning she got Mhihlali ready for school.

However, when she arrived home at 14:55 from work,she was not home.
She immediately contacted the bus driver ,who informed her that someone else had already collected her from school.

The police believe that she may have been fetched from school by a family member and could be in the Bloemfontein area.

Anyone who may have seen her can contact the investigating officer Capt Mochonyane on 076 021 3336 or the SAPS emergency number 08600 10111 or via the MySAPS App.
All information will be treated confidentially.

The public is once again reminded that there is no waiting period to report a missing. - Brig Mashay Gamieldien

The Northern Cape family of a man whose body was stolen at a mortuary in Kuruman, say they are traumatised. Terrence Maloyi, the brother of the deceased says the police notified them on Monday, that there was a break-in at a funeral parlour where his body was kept. Two men entered the guardroom, assaulted security and stole three bodies. The distraught family says all they want is to find the body of their brother so they can bury him with the dignity that he deserves.

The Motheo Wa Bophelo Funeral took out a Media Statement indicating that they are working with relevant Law Enforcement to investigate the matter and has also provided counseling to the affected families
