The forest is growing. 🌲

I can finally start sharing what we’ve been working on for the next chapter of Heartwood 💛

This is Fenn and the Circle of Explorers.

Fenn was originally created for our younger children, but I’ve always wanted Heartwood to be something that could grow with them. As children get older, the things they’re dealing with change too. Friendships get harder, confidence gets knocked, they start figuring out who they are, where they fit and how to handle a world that suddenly feels a lot bigger.

So we’re building a new series for that next stage.

Fenn is still Fenn, but his world is getting bigger and he now has a whole new group of friends joining him, each with their own personalities, stories and things they’re trying to figure out.

I’m really excited about this series because I don’t want these books to feel like “lessons”. I want them to be proper stories that children actually want to read, with characters they know and care about, while still giving us a way to talk about the real things they are experiencing as they grow up.

Fenn and the Circle of Explorers will be ready for 2027, and over the next few days we'll be introducing the new characters one by one on our socials.
