In partnership with eGoli Fellowship of Men and Heartlines, we hosted the Imbizo (Men’s Gathering) event today at St Patrick’s Presbyterian Church, 14029 Umhlatuza St, Diepkloof Zone 1.
The event was conceptualised in response to the complex and layered challenges confronting men and young men within their communities and in broader society.
This Imbizo will continue to serve as contribution to fostering safe, inclusive spaces for the holistic development of the boy child— cultivating conscious, informed, responsible, and accountable individuals who are prepared to take up meaningful roles in their families, communities,
university spaces, and the world beyond.
There are several contributing factors that leave black men to be disposed to this, so of these include; Cultural Beliefs; Our History; Socio – economic factors and environmental
stress.
