💙 I wish more women knew…
Lifting others up doesn’t dim your own light — it multiplies it. When we cheer, support, and share opportunities, we all rise together.

Soroptimists with purpose and relevance.

Soroptimist Edurne Gil de Saint Vincente was invited to speak at the Stern Business School NYU Abu Dhabi on the topic of collaboration in the fast changing world of AI.

She spoke eloquently about the opportunity for governments and the private sector to engage more deeply with civil society to ensure AI truly meets human needs.

Edurne showcased our Soroptimist project, Let's Chat, an AI- enabled digital health tool to educate women in Africa on cervical cancer prevention. Designed as a woman to woman conversation to be locally and culturally relevant, Let's Chat makes it easy to engage on a taboo and challenging topic and encourage women to take charge of their health.

She raised the increasingly important issues of equity and making AI work for people. As she highlighted the transformational power of AI, she noted that "energy security, water security and human welfare can all be advanced by AI and we must not leave humans out of the equation."

Fascinating discussions throughout the day on AI's impact and challenges in mobilty, fintech, government and other sectors. Soroptimists presented the only case of AI use by grassroots civil society organisations. We look forward to continuing to be part of this conversation.

Many thanks to and
for the invitation.
