World Teachers' Day is about celebrating the ones who give more than their job asks of them. For us, that's Ms Mbuyisa & Mr Ramathuba.

Ms Mbuyisa gave up weekends. She gave up rest. She gave up time with her own family. Not because anyone asked her to. Because she believes in her learners.

Mr Ramathuba the principal of Malvern High School recognised a shared commitment to young people and chose to act on it. He trusted our team and opened doors that changed what was possible for his learners.

Ms Mbuyisa sat down with learners to make her own vision board, not because she had to, but because she wanted them to see her dream too.

They both showed up when it would have been easier to stay home.

That is sacrifice. That is what it looks like when an educator refuses to just teach.

🔭 Not every child loves space. And that's okay.

Sometimes, a young person doesn't know what they're interested in until they see it. Sometimes, a career in science, technology, or engineering only becomes real when you're standing under a dome, watching the universe unfold above you.

They watched. They learned. They asked questions. And even if they never become scientists, they walked away knowing that the world is bigger than they thought.

That's the point. Exposure doesn't force a path. It opens a door.

Today Sunday, 4 October, there's another chance to look up. Saturn reaches opposition, its brightest point of the year. You don't need a telescope. Just step outside after sunset and look east.

You never know what might click for a young person. Let's keep opening doors.

The universe is yours. And so is your future. 🔥

The Buyile Foundation had an incredible experience at alongside students from our NPO. The event provided valuable exposure to creativity, innovation, technology, and exciting career opportunities.

Our students connected with industry professionals, explored new possibilities, and left inspired to dream bigger.

We are proud to create opportunities that empower young people through learning, exposure, and growth.

🇿🇦 Happy Heritage Day! Today, we celebrate the cultures, traditions, and people that make South Africa extraordinary. Heritage is about where we come from and the people who walk with us along the way.

Today, we honour Princess Tshepi Motloung.

Princess is a traditional leader of the Batlokwa Nation in KwaZulu-Natal and CEO of the Queen Mmanthatisi Culture and Heritage Institute. She is also Founding Director of the FutureLift Foundation, where she trains rural and peri-urban women and youth in business management, and Secretary General of Youth Gather Global. Her work has carried her nation's voice to platforms from the African Union to the CARICOM Secretariat.

Princess Tshepi was one of the first believers in The Buyile Foundation. She supported us before there was proof. She believed before there were results.

That kind of faith is rare, and we will forever be grateful for her.

She is part of our story. She is part of our family. She is part of our flame. 🔥

Our dreamers are ready!

Awakhiwe said he wanted to be an animator.
Levon said he wanted to be a software engineer.

They put it on their vision boards. Now they are about to see it in real life at Comic Con Africa!!!

Our upcoming GirlCode AI Bootcamp for high school students will introduce learners to AI, coding and app building in a practical, creative environment designed to help them become confident builders of technology.

The goal is not simply to teach them how to use AI. It is to help them understand it, question it, create with it and imagine how they could use technology to solve real problems.

🎮 What careers can you explore at Comic Con Africa?

The creative and digital industries are full of opportunities and Comic Con Africa brings them all together in one place.

From animation and illustration to game development, cybersecurity, indie filmmaking, content creation, and tech innovation– the possibilities are endless.

Young people can meet professionals who have turned their passions into careers. They can attend talks from animators, learn about cybersecurity, hear from actors, and discover how to turn a story into a TV series.

We'll be there to capture their stories and share them with our community.

WE'RE GOING TO COMIC CON AFRICA 2026!

We are thrilled to announce that The Buyile Foundation will be at Comic Con Africa 2026 on Friday, 25 September at the Johannesburg Expo Centre (Nasrec).

For us, this is a critical career exposure opportunity. Comic Con Africa is not just about pop culture. This is a space where young people can explore careers in animation, illustration, gaming, tech, and digital content creation.

We will be taking our young explorers with us and we cannot wait to share their journey with you.
