Lesedi La Setjhaba Family and Community Center Established in 2015. We assist victims of GBV to access justice and offer psychosocial support. We operate from the Alexandra, Booysens and Palm Ridge Courts.

Also, we assist to place survivors in places of safety, should there be a need. NO to GBV!!

Lesedi La Setjhaba Family & Community Center is excited to invite children aged 7 to 9 years to our FREE Winter Holiday Programme!

Today, Lesedi La Setjhaba Family and Community Centre celebrates all fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, guardians, mentors, and father figures who provide love, guidance, protection, and support to the children and families in our communities.

We recognize and appreciate the positive impact you make every day through your care, sacrifice, encouragement, and leadership. Your presence helps shape confident, responsible, and resilient young people.

To every child, remember that family comes in many forms, and there are many caring individuals who help guide and support us on our journey through life.

Today, we celebrate the strength, courage, creativity, and potential of every young person in our community.

As Lesedi La Setjhaba Family and Community Center, we honor the young people who continue to dream big, work hard, and make a positive difference in the lives of others. Youth Day reminds us of the bravery and sacrifices of the youth of 1976, whose actions helped shape the future of our nation.

May you continue to believe in yourselves, pursue your goals with determination, and use your talents to build stronger families, safer communities, and a brighter South Africa.

Closing of Child Protection Week ‼️

Last week on the 5th of june, as Child Protection Week came to an end, we reflected on the importance of creating safe, supportive, and nurturing environments for all children. Last week, we had the privilege of attending the Child Protection Awareness Day hosted by Sakhimfundo Youth Program.

The event brought together various stakeholders committed to the well-being of children, including advocate for transformation, SAPS, social workers from Camp Sizanani, healthcare professionals from local clinics, and Life Skills educators. Our organisation was proudly represented by one of our social workers, who shared valuable information on child protection and safeguarding.

The week served as a reminder that protecting children is a shared responsibility. We thank all partners, community members, and professionals who continue to work tirelessly to ensure that every child is safe, heard, respected, and given the opportunity to thrive.

Although Child Protection Week has ended, our commitment to safeguarding children continues every day. Together, we can build stronger communities where children are protected, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.

May is Child Protection Month 💙🧸

At Lesedi La Setjhaba Family and Community Center, we stand together in protecting, nurturing, and empowering every child. Children deserve to grow in safe spaces filled with love, care, respect, and opportunities to thrive.

As social workers, social auxiliary workers, caregivers, parents, and community members, we all have a role to play in creating a world where children are heard, protected, and supported.

This month reminds us that protecting children is not a one-person job. It is a community responsibility. Together, we can build brighter futures and safer environments for every child. 🌍✨
