THIS IS NOT MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!
It’s a direct attack against the most vulnerable people!

The USAID funding freeze under the Trump administration is putting countless LGBTQI+ displaced persons and refugees at even greater risk. This article from highlights how crucial services HIV treatment (ART), PrEP, self-testing kits, and even basic health supplies—are becoming scarce across Africa. Many organizations that once provided support have shut down, leaving vulnerable communities with nowhere to turn.

For LGBTQI+ refugees and asylum seekers in South Africa and beyond, access to healthcare and humanitarian aid has always been a struggle. Now, even the little support that existed is disappearing. People who fled persecution, hoping to find safety, are now caught in a crisis—facing not just discrimination but also a complete lack of essential services.

At Haven of Pride, we see these struggles firsthand. Our community cannot afford to be forgotten. We call on global allies, donors, and organizations to stand with us and ensure that displaced LGBTQI+ persons are not left behind.
