Man Of Valor

Man Of Valor Man of Valor raises awareness for men's mental health through an annual 60-hour run from Johannesburg to Durban.

Originating as a challenge, it now supports mental well-being initiatives.

What a powerful day of connection, learning, and breaking the stigma at our Beyond the Finish Line workshop! Hosted at Tambotie Primary School on July 18, 2026, the event was a beautiful reminder that "men who talk heal."

From insightful presentations on mental health awareness and su***de prevention to the deep, honest conversations shared outside over coffee, this gathering was exactly what our community needed. A massive thank you to all our incredible speakers and every Man of Valor who showed up to learn, share, and support one another.

Remember: One conversation could save a life. Let's keep checking in on each other. 💛🗣️

What is SafeTalk?
And what is Beyond the Finish Line all about?

Beyond the Finish Line is more than just a workshop. It’s a conversation about the challenges we don’t always see and the people who may be struggling in silence.

We’re proud to partner with SafeTalk, an organisation dedicated to mental health awareness and su***de prevention. Together, we’ll explore practical ways to recognise when someone may be in distress, start meaningful conversations, and help create communities where people feel safe to ask for help.

Mental Fitness isn’t just about looking after yourself. It’s also about learning how to look out for one another.

Take a minute to watch the video and discover what Beyond the Finish Line is all about.

Beyond the Finish Line

Every runner knows what it feels like to push through pain.

But not every struggle is visible.

On 18 July, Man of Valor, in partnership with SafeTalk, is bringing the running community together for an interactive Mental Fitness and Su***de Prevention Workshop.

Because sometimes…

Even the strongest person in the group can be carrying the heaviest burden.

Together, we will learn how to recognize the signs, start meaningful conversations, and build communities where no one has to struggle alone.

One conversation. One question. One moment of courage… could save a life.

Let's recap a little 3 of 3

07/12/2025

The 704km journey ended in rain, wind and chaos but it almost felt right. After fighting so many obstacles along the way, the conditions reminded us again why Man of Valor exists. We had to adapt our finish on the move, shift plans, and find a place to close this chapter safely.
And in that moment, it became clear: this was never about a perfect finish line. Not about medals. Not about the event setup.
It was about the message. The mission. The men we’re fighting for.

Thanks to your support, we now have the resources to cast our stone and push back against one of the biggest challenges in the world today.
Mental health needs more voices, more conversation, more compassion and we’re not stopping here. 💚
Man of Valor: Men Who Talk, Heal.
