OUR MISSION

Hope to Heal Foundation, is a non-profit organization. Our mission is to work with all people to ensure they live a life free from violence and abuse. We aim to provide quality, compassionate, and nonjudgmental services in a manner that fosters self-respect and independence in persons experiencing domestic violence, child abuse or any unwanted circumstances.

We want to lead the struggle to end domestic violence through advocacy and community education. By this token become pioneer in development.

Women and children globally live at greater risk of domestic violence, s*xual assault, harassment and s*x trafficking, however not overlooking male victims as well. Hope to Heal Foundation wants to give male victims a platform to speak out and know that we care and aim to touch and change all lives, whether it be young, old, male or female.

We work for social change through, Educational awareness programmes, Service collaboration, Institutional advocacy and awareness.

Using self-help, empowerment approach, we provide, Counselling, Mediation, Legal assistance, Workshops, Team Building, Educational Awareness programmes at schools and support service for victims of domestic violence and abuse.

Our belief is that we need to provide practical tools to aid change and to bring about long lasting development. There will be a drastic change through Educational Awareness programmes.

The three spheres of impact: Knowledge is Power - We aim to equip children from a young age about domestic violence and child abuse by providing workshops and literature and awareness programs to schools. Children who are witness to domestic violence have twice the rate of psychiatric disorder as children from non-violent homes. Some children grow up taking abuse into their adult life.

Teenage pregnancy has become a serious problem in South Africa. Through school workshops and literature, we are hopeful to overcome this.

We need more Men Figures, to stand up in support advocating against domestic violence and child abuse. Through this support, there will be drastic change in society. Men, by remaining silent through generations to generations of domestic violence and child abuse, this epidemic continues to grow by the second. Caring deeply is not enough. Men owe this to their children, especially to their sons. The greatest gift a man can gift his woman and children is permission to feel loved, feel safe, feel respected, feel worthy and to feel that they are enough.

We are very involved in Outreach Programmes and welcome you to be a part of our Outreaches by volunteering, sponsors and donations. We can only reach our full potential through your support.

Martin Luther King once said and I quote “In the end what will hurt the most are not the words of the enemies but the silence of our family and friends” Don’t ignore Domestic Violence and Child Abuse, break the silence and Speak Out!
