Meet our 2 girls, Pepie & Echo

Recently we welcomed 2 new surrenders - Pepie and Echo, both beautiful female Bosties. ❤️

Pepie is the older one, with the white face. She’s 5 years old, while Echo is around 3. They are related and have always lived together.

Pepie is a calm, older Bostie who loves the quieter things in life - especially being inside and finding a sunny spot to lie in. ☀️

Echo is still a playful young girl, full of spark and personality. But when the day is done, they’re both happy to chill together.

They aren’t particularly attached to each other, but they are a settled and well-balanced pair. We think they could be a great match for a home looking to adopt two Bosties who are past the puppy stage and ready to enjoy the good life together. ❤️

They have never been around cats.

Both girls were sterilised, vaccinated and microchipped last week. Pepie also had a few growths on her tummy removed (nothing bad thankfully!). They’ll now have some time to recover and settle in at their foster home in JHB.

In about 2 weeks, they should be ready to move into their forever home, but we’re starting the application process now.

If you’d like to apply to adopt, please complete the application form:https://bostonterrier.org.za/adoption-application/

Our first plan will be to try and rehome Pepie and Echo together. If we feel that a joint adoption isn’t going to be the best option for them, we’ll open applications for separate homes. Please wait for an update from us before applying to adopt them separately.

A few important things to remember when applying:

We do not approve homes with an open pool. Pool safety is really important to us.
Bosties also need a safe and secure garden, with space to play, as well as shade and shelter for when you’re not home.

STILL LOOKING FOR A HOME! 🐾

These two gorgeous Bostie boys are currently up for adoption at Wetnose Animal Rescue Centre in Pretoria.

We were also contacted about them a few months ago, but unfortunately they were surrendered to Wetnose before we had the opportunity to help find them a home.

They are two very active boys who will need a home that understands the Boston Terrier breed and is willing to put some time into training, exercise and plenty of attention and stimulation.

They’ve now spent the whole winter in kennels, which is just heartbreaking. 💔 They really deserve the chance to get out of the kennels and into a loving home.

It’s very important that potential adopters meet them in person at Wetnose in Pretoria East. Please go and spend some time with them, get to know their personalities and see whether they could be the right fit for your family.

Please share so we can help these boys find their people. ❤️🐾

Ralfi is finding himself in a bit of trouble. 💔

Unfortunately, Ralfi and the other Bostie in his home have been getting into some serious fights. For their own safety, we’ve made the difficult decision to separate them.

Ralfi is now looking for a home where he can be the only pet. We don’t know what triggers the fights or why they’re happening, so we need to be cautious and find him a home where he doesn’t have to share his space with other dogs or cats.

Ralfi is just 2 years old. He’s great with people and good with kids. He loves his humans and just needs a kind, patient family willing to give him the time he deserves.

He’s been living mostly outside, so he’ll likely need a refresher on house training, but with consistency and patience we’re sure he’ll settle in well.

Ralfi is neutered, vaccinated, will be microchipped, and is currently in Pretoria.

Please help us find this handsome boy a new home ❤️

To apply; please complete the form here: https://bostonterrier.org.za/adoption-application/
*Note: Only local Gauteng homes with no other pets will be considered.

Meet Manny

A few weeks ago this little dude came into our care, and he’s now ready to find his forever home. ❤️

Manny is 2 years old, weighs around 8kg, and is a smaller bostie with a big personality. He’s healthy, full of life, and quite honestly the cutest little energiser bunny! 🐶

Sadly, Manny has been passed from home to home over the last year, and that’s just not fair on him. We want to make sure this is the last time he ever has to move, so we’ve put together a list of what his perfect home looks like:

▪️Absolutely no cats. He really doesn’t like them.
▪️A garden to run and play in.
▪️Plenty of toys to chase and chew.
▪️A playful female bostie companion. He absolutely loves the girls!
▪️A calm family who can give him structure, routine, patience and lots of love. He’s a little anxious and won’t do well being left alone all day.
▪️An active home with people who have time for a busy, energetic boy.
▪️A safe and secure garden. Manny is small and can be quite the escape artist if given the chance!
▪️Patience with his housetraining while he settles in. Like many dogs, he may mark when adjusting to a new home.

Manny is currently in Johannesburg North and will be rehomed within Gauteng. We’d like him to stay within driving distance so we can keep in touch and make sure he’s settling in well.

We know the list is a little long, but after being rehomed four times in just two years, we owe it to Manny to find the right home this time.

He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. His adoption fee is R900.

If you think you could be Manny’s forever family, please complete our adoption application here:

Please tell us a bit more about your home when filling in the form.
