Vet bill help needed please 🙏🏻

Last night, one of our own experienced every Bostie parent's worst nightmare.

Our hearts are broken to share that Archie passed away after a medical emergency on Sunday evening. Despite everything the vets and his family did to save him, they sadly lost him during surgery. Archie was only 7 years old. We believe his stomach twisted, and despite urgent treatment, there were too many complications.

Archie was deeply loved and was adopted a few years ago by one of our longest-standing volunteers.

Today, we're asking for something we don't often ask...

We're hoping to help her with Archie's emergency vet bill. Sunday night emergencies come with an enormous cost, and this was something no one could have planned for.

*She is a single mom who has quietly dedicated the last six years to helping run our rescue. She gives countless hours behind the scenes, often without anyone ever seeing the work she does. Quite simply, Boston Terrier Rescue would not be where it is today without her.*

If you're able to contribute, no matter how small the amount, it would mean so much. We'd love to take just one burden off her shoulders while she grieves the loss of her beloved Archie.

Milo is safe! (Full story in the comments)

There is finally a glimmer of light at the end of a very dark tunnel.

Milo has been found and is safely back home with Lindie and her husband. ❤️

Our deepest condolences to Lindie and her family on the loss of their beloved mom. You remain in our thoughts and prayers.

And to sweet Milo… we’re so glad you’re safe and home where you belong.

Cooper & Diesel Are Ready to Find Their Forever Home 🐾

A few weeks ago, these boys came into our care looking for a new family to call their own. They would make the perfect addition to a home wanting two amazing companions.

Cooper and Diesel have adapted beautifully to life as indoor dogs. They are good with children, really bonded to one another, and love their stuffed toys 🧸
They have fully embraced the comforts of home life, including claiming the couch as their own and sleeping indoors!

These two are serious cuddle bugs and are looking for a family who won’t mind sharing their lap! Personal space is definitely not something they understand ❤️

They are not suitable for a home with cats (sorry!). They can live with other dogs after slow intros, but they are not used to dog parks or regularly meeting lots of strange dogs.

While they could be homed with other dogs, we feel their ideal home would be one where they are the only pets, allowing them to settle in and receive all the love and attention they deserve. They’ve gone through so much change..

Cooper and Diesel are 3 and 4 years old, the perfect ages to enjoy all the fun and companionship of dogs who have outgrown the puppy stage.

They are currently in foster care in Johannesburg North, and meet-and-greets can be arranged.

Help with buying food ❤️

We would really appreciate any small donation towards purchasing food for all our bosties who are on special diets. We are completely out and urgently need to purchase more this weekend.

▪️ Mia is on a strict Hills Metabolic Diet before her big surgery this month (6kg)

▪️ Ollie eats VetsBrands Sensitive (12kg) and needs to see the vet again on Saturday for his prolapse, which is unfortunately not looking good. He will also need medication.
**Update on Ollie: he developed an a**l tumor and needs surgery for it this coming week. We are not too worried as it looks like an easy removal, so we are booking it for this week Friday.
