The South African Journal of Science is inviting commentaries for a Discussion Series aimed at creating a platform for critical conversations on Africanising and/or decolonising scientific praxis.

Whose freedom is this if the way we learn, practice and produce knowledge is still shaped by colonial and apartheid-era frameworks?

The year 1994 heralded freedom for both the nation and organised psychology. In the decades since, decolonial psychology scholars have made significant strides in advancing an African psychology unencumbered by Eurocentrism.

Yet, like our democracy, this work remains unfinished.
