A heartfelt thank you to Australian Books for Children of Africa for an absolutely humongous donation of books for our early learning development programmes in rural communities.

These books will go directly into the hands of little ones who need them most — helping them learn, explore, imagine and develop a love for reading from an early age.

This is so much more than a donation of books. It is a donation of opportunity, learning and a brighter future.

Through My Walk Made with Soul these school shoes are made from recycled materials — helping children while also giving plastic waste a second life.

What a beautiful day of empowerment, passion and unity.

Our Women’s Day celebration in Groot Marico was a reminder of the incredible strength found in the wonderful women who give endlessly to their community — asking for nothing in return and always giving with open hearts and open hands.

We came together to celebrate the women who show up every day, often behind the scenes, caring, serving, supporting and making a difference in the lives of so many.

It was a day to see them, celebrate them and remind them just how valued they are.

To every woman in Groot Marico who gives her time, her love, her strength and her heart to our community — thank you. You are the heart of our community, and your contribution does not go unnoticed.

💜 A Heartfelt Thank You 💜

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible generosity shown by our community.

Because of your kindness, women from four different schools, beauty salons, our local grocer, and many other generous donors have been blessed with so much love and support.

The women received beautifully packed toiletry bags filled to the brim, food parcels, warm scarves, beanies, bed socks, and so much more. Every single item was donated with love, reminding these amazing women that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

To every individual, business, school, and volunteer who contributed—thank you. Your generosity has made a real difference and brought dignity, warmth, and hope to so many lives.

💛💗💙 Every Stitch Tells a Story. Every Worm Carries Hope. 💙💗💛

This year, Bet On Better NPO is bringing comfort, courage, and hope to those facing some of life’s toughest battles—one handmade worm at a time.

🧡 September – Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
Help us create 500 Comfort Worms to remind brave little warriors that they are loved, supported, and never alone.

💗 October – Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Our goal is to crochet 1,000 Hope Worms to bring comfort and encouragement to patients undergoing treatment.

💙 November – Prostate Cancer Awareness Month
Join us in making 500 Strength Worms to show the men in our communities that they have a team standing beside them.

Whether you crochet one worm or one hundred, donate wool, or simply share our campaign, you are helping us wrap someone in kindness when they need it most.

Together, our goal is to create:

💗 1,000 Hope Worms
💙 500 Strength Worms

That’s 2,000 handmade reminders that no one has to face cancer alone.
