After years of this bill being dragged, may it be signed and brought into power this time, this is a chunk of freedom we could be talking about this month!

The procrastination behind this bill not being passed is probably because those who are supposed to finalize it are not the ones experiencing the pain, the abuse, loss and the emotional burden that comes with hate crimes and discrimination.

When it comes to the scourge of Gender Based Violence and 16 days of activism against women and child abuse , how about we put the word "celebrate" in the bin, instead we rather use "commemorate", how can we celebrate when there is still no justice, everyday we lose women and children, our justice system is failing us and women and the LGBTQIA society live in fear. Gender equality is just a word.
