The Quiet Seasons After Cancer💜🕊

Sometimes, cancer doesn't just change a diagnosis.
It changes friendships. It changes priorities. It changes the way you see time, people, and life itself.
There are seasons when those of us who have walked this journey become quiet not because we have nothing to say, but because life asks us to carry more than words can explain.
But one thing I've learned is this...
Every quiet season teaches us something.
It teaches us to treasure the people we love. It teaches us that health is a gift. It teaches us that kindness matters because everyone is fighting a battle we cannot see.
So today, I'm choosing to show up again.

To keep sharing. To keep raising awareness. To keep honoring every family whose life has been changed by cancer.
Because every story matters. Every voice matters. And together, we continue to shine a light where there is hope.

In loving memory of my beautiful Stargirl... your light still leads the way. Forever 16. To Infinity & Beyond.

💛🎗️ DID YOU KNOW? 🎗️💛

Sarcoma accounts for only a small percentage of all cancers, making it a rare disease. But for the families affected by it, sarcoma is anything but rare.

Behind every diagnosis is a person.
Behind every person is a family.
Behind every family is a story.

Because sarcoma is uncommon, many people have never heard of it until it touches their lives. That is why awareness is so important.

The more people know about sarcoma, the better the chances of earlier diagnosis, better support, more research, and ultimately more lives saved.

This Sarcoma Awareness Month, take a moment to learn, share, and help spread awareness.

💛 In memory of Renah Ellidah.
🎗️ In honor of every sarcoma warrior.
✨ Because rare cancers deserve awareness too.

💛🎗️ UNDERSTANDING SARCOMA 🎗️💛
SARCOMA AWARENESS MONTH

Many people have never heard of sarcoma until it affects someone they love.
Sarcoma is a rare type of cancer that develops in the body's connective tissues, including bones, muscles, fat, tendons, blood vessels, and nerves. It can affect both children and adults.

There are more than 70 different types of sarcoma, but they are generally grouped into two main categories:
🔹 Soft Tissue Sarcoma develops in muscles, fat, nerves, blood vessels, and other soft tissues.
🔹 Bone Sarcoma develops in the bones and is more common in children, teenagers, and young adults.
⚠️ Common signs and symptoms may include: • A lump or swelling that continues to grow • Pain in a bone or muscle • Unexplained swelling • Persistent fatigue • Difficulty moving a limb • Unexplained fractures
Because sarcoma is rare, symptoms are often mistaken for sports injuries, growing pains, or minor illnesses. This can delay diagnosis.

💡 Why awareness matters: Early diagnosis can improve treatment options and outcomes. The more people know about sarcoma, the more likely they are to seek medical advice when symptoms don't go away.

For me, sarcoma is more than a medical term. It is the disease that took my beloved daughter, Renah Ellidah. That is why I continue to raise awareness, educate others, and support families facing this difficult journey.

🎗️ Awareness saves lives. 🎗️ Education empowers families. 🎗️ Research brings hope.
In memory of Renah Ellidah. For every warrior still fighting. For every family affected by sarcoma.💜🕊

June is Sarcoma Awareness Month 💛

This month is very close to my heart. Sarcoma is the cancer that took my precious daughter from me. 💔

Many people have never heard of sarcoma until it touches their family. Sarcoma is a rare cancer that can develop in the bones or soft tissues of the body and can affect both children and adults.

This June, I am raising awareness in memory of my daughter and in support of every family facing this disease. Early diagnosis can make a difference, and awareness can save lives.

Please take a moment to learn about sarcoma, share this post, and help spread awareness. We remember those we have lost, support those still fighting, and hope for better treatments and outcomes in the future.

For my daughter, always. 💜🎗️

🟣 SOCIAL IMPACT OF CANCER ON CAREGIVERS

Cancer does not only affect the patient it also deeply affects the person providing care.💔

Caregivers often carry a heavy emotional, physical, and financial burden while looking after a loved one with cancer. Many sacrifice their sleep, jobs, mental health, and personal lives to provide daily care, emotional support, hospital visits, and medication management.

Over time, this can lead to:
Emotional stress and depression from constantly witnessing pain and uncertainty.
Physical exhaustion due to long hours of caregiving with little rest.
Financial struggles when caregivers stop working or spend most of their income on treatment and transport.
Social isolation because many withdraw from friends, social activities, and their own personal goals.
Some caregivers silently suffer from anxiety, burnout, and grief while trying to stay strong for everyone else.

🌱 How can society help?
Caregivers need emotional support, counseling, financial assistance, community support groups, and recognition for the important role they play. Supporting caregivers also improves the quality of care for cancer patients.

🎗️ Behind every cancer patient is a caregiver fighting a battle too.

🕊️ In Loving Memory of Alexx Ekubo

Cancer reminds us how fragile life is and why awareness truly matters.
Kidney cancer can develop silently, which is why early detection, regular check-ups, and listening to your body are so important.
As a fan and a mother who walked the cancer journey, this loss is deeply painful. May his story encourage more conversations about cancer awareness and health. 🤍

THE SILENT RISE OF CANCER CASES &CANCER DEATH🎗✨️💜

The rise in cancer cases and cancer-related deaths is becoming impossible to ignore. Almost every family, community, workplace, or friendship circle has been touched by this disease in one way or another. Behind every statistic is a real person, a real family, and a painful story.

This is why cancer awareness matters deeply. We need more conversations about prevention, early detection, regular screenings, healthier lifestyles, mental health, environmental factors, and support for patients and caregivers.
Many people still arrive at hospitals too late because of fear, lack of information, financial struggles, or ignoring symptoms. Awareness can save lives.

Let us stop treating cancer conversations as something distant or rare. The increasing number of diagnoses and deaths is a wake-up call for all of us to become more informed, more supportive, and more proactive about our health✨️💜

Cancer Chronicles – Lessons from the Heart 💜✨️

We all dream of motherhood in a certain way…
Before it even begins, we quietly build a picture in our hearts.
We imagine holding a healthy baby in our arms.
We imagine first steps, first words, first days at school.
We imagine laughter filling the house, birthdays, milestones… a future that feels long and certain.

We dream of watching our children grow, become, and live a life bigger than us.
That is the motherhood we carry inside us.
The one filled with hope, joy, and endless tomorrows.
But sometimes… life rewrites that dream.
Sometimes motherhood becomes something we never prepared for.
It becomes hospital rooms instead of playgrounds.
It becomes medical words we never knew we would have to understand.
It becomes sleepless nights, silent prayers, and holding your child a little tighter knowing time is no longer promised.
It becomes learning how to be strong…
on the very days your heart is breaking.
This is the motherhood people don’t talk about.
The motherhood where your child is sick.
Where the future you imagined slowly changes shape.
Where you are forced to live between hope and fear at the same time.
I have lived this motherhood.
I know what it is to hold onto faith while facing the unthinkable.
I know what it is to love so deeply… and still have to let go.
And in the middle of all that pain, I learned something that changed me forever…

Motherhood does not end when the dream changes.
It does not end in hospital rooms.
It does not end in loss.
It transforms.
It becomes deeper.
Quieter.
Heavier… but also more powerful than words can explain.
Because even now
I am still a mother.
Still loving.
Still carrying her in everything I do.
Still speaking her name.
Still choosing to live with the love she left in me.
To every mother whose story did not go the way you dreamed…
Your motherhood is still valid.
Your love is still real.
Your story still matters.
And you are not alone. 🤍
