Masiphakameni Local Development Agency Masiphakameni Local Development Agency is situated in Humansdorp, and acts to help the local community with their social needs.

Masiphakameni Local Development Agency is situated in Humansdorp on the Eastern Cape of South Africa. The Agency was established in 1992 with the aim of helping the community of Humansdorp as well as neighbouring areas with their social needs. This was against the backdrop of the Apartheid political system that segregated whites, blacks and coloureds, resulting in disempowerment and the isolation

of black people. Now the Agency acts as a non profit making, non partisan and non governmental organisation, to strengthen and improve self reliance amongst the local community, whilst aiming to overcome the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS, providing information, education and counselling. The Agency also acts to improve community access to justice and constitutional rights for all members of the local area regardless of colour, race, gender or values. Masiphakameni Local Development Agency has been recognised and fully registered under NPO since 2006.
