🧡 Hangberg Men Showing Up, Speaking Out and Growing Together!

Last Tuesday, the men of Hangberg came together for a successful Sakh’Indoda Dialogue Circle under the theme “Vulnerability.”

We explored what it means to open up as men, share what we carry inside, and allow ourselves to be seen beyond the expectations of always being strong.

Vulnerability is not weakness. It takes courage to be honest about how we feel, to speak our truth, and to allow others to support us. When men create space for these conversations, we build trust, understanding, and stronger connections.

Thank you to every man who showed up, listened, shared, and helped create a space for growth. 🙌🏾

This Week’s Message: Men Need Men 🧡

As men, we often carry things silently. We are expected to be strong, to provide, and to keep going, even when life becomes heavy.

But we don't have to carry everything alone.
At Sakh’Indoda – Men Who Inspire, we believe in creating spaces where men can speak honestly, listen without judgment, support one another, and grow together.

Real strength is not about carrying everything alone. It’s about having the courage to speak, listen, and ask for support.

Last night, men gathered at Sakh’Indoda – Men Who Inspire to explore the theme:

"What Are We Carrying as Men?"

Men came with heavy hearts, but left feeling lighter, relieved and honoured to have a space where they could speak openly and be heard.

Last night, our Core Group came together and dived deep into the conversation of Leadership vs Ego.

Men spoke their truth, challenged their thinking and created space for honest conversations around this sensitive topic.

🧡 Sakh’Indoda – Men Who Inspire | Standing Against Violence Against Women

We stand in solidarity with the women, families and communities affected by the recent killings of women in South Africa. The discovery of multiple women’s bodies in Ekurhuleni has once again brought the devastating reality of violence against women into focus.

As men, we cannot remain silent.

It is deeply painful that women continue to lose their lives at the hands of men. We must challenge violence, speak up against harmful behaviour and take responsibility for creating safer communities.

Our women deserve to live without fear.
Our daughters deserve safety.
Our mothers, sisters, partners and friends deserve dignity and respect.

At Sakh’Indoda – Men Who Inspire, we believe that changing the lives of men must also mean challenging the attitudes and behaviours that contribute to violence.

Men, let us do better. Let us speak. Let us challenge. Let us take responsibility. Let us be part of the change. 🧡

💙 Dialogue Circle Reflection

Last Tuesday, the men of Sakh'Indoda – Men Who Inspire gathered for an honest conversation about guilt and shame.

One message stood out:

Guilt says: "I made a mistake."
Shame says: "I am a mistake."

Through open and courageous conversations, we were reminded that our mistakes do not define our worth. Healing begins when we speak our truth and realise we don't have to carry life's burdens alone.

Thank you to every man who showed up, listened, and shared. Together, we continue building stronger men, stronger families, and stronger communities.
