DIPELANENG PUBLIC LIBRARY NOTICE
Yesterday the Dipelaneng / Hobhouse Multi-Stakeholders Forum successfully held a Youth Month Planning Meeting for June 2026 as we prepare to commemorate 50 years since the Soweto Uprising of 16 June 1976.
Different stakeholders discussed important issues affecting our youth including drug abuse, school dropouts, sports development, youth empowerment, prayer, arts and community unity.
As Dipelaneng Public Library, our role during the month of June will include:
Youth awareness campaigns
Reading competitions
Educational programmes
Library outreach at schools
Youth empowerment sessions
Promoting reading and digital literacy
Supporting youth activities together with other stakeholders
The library will continue working together with the community, youth groups and stakeholders to guide and empower the youth of Dipelaneng.
