Life can be so unfair.

We have been waiting for months, and we are still waiting for one final approval. Just one person. One signature. One simple "go ahead" so that I can willingly give my kidney to the person who means the world to me and needs it most.

For two years, Llew has suffered. For two years, we have watched him fight every single day. And all we can do now is wait... patiently... for someone we've never met, a doctor, a professor, or whoever holds the final decision, to simply say:

"Go ahead."

In the meantime, we continue begging for help to cover dialysis costs because staying alive comes with a price tag. And begging for money is not easy. It is humbling, exhausting, and heartbreaking.

While you may go to bed tonight without a second thought, we lie awake wondering how we will get through tomorrow. We worry about the next dialysis session, the next bill, the next hurdle.

Yes, God has carried us through every single time, and for that we are incredibly grateful. But we are still human. We are tired. We are scared. And our stress levels are beyond what any family should have to endure.

The solution is there.

The donor is ready. The recipient is ready. The medical teams are ready.

All that remains is one person and one word:

"Yes."

That one word would change our lives forever.

Llew update 🀍

Llew was moved to high care last night and finally received a bed around 10pm, which meant he could at least get some proper rest after a very long day. He is in really good hands.

He is currently on oxygen, which is helping his breathing a lot, as there is fluid on his lungs. The plan for the next few days is to dialyze him a bit more aggressively and trust that it helps remove the fluid buildup.

The doctors have also picked up that he is bleeding somewhere internally, so they will be checking for possible stomach ulcers as his HB is very low. We know low HB can be common with kidney failure patients, but his seems a bit more severe, which means they need to find where he is losing blood.

Because of this, he will be receiving a pint of blood to help get his levels up again.

His blood sugar also dropped extremely low, so they are treating that as well.

The positive news is that he is already looking and sounding so much better today. He has more colour in his face, more energy in his voice, and that alone gives us so much hope.

Please continue praying with us that all of this is treatable, manageable, and can be sorted out quickly… and that the urgency around his transplant is seen so that things can finally move faster. πŸ™πŸΌπŸ€

Thank you for every message, prayer and every bit of support. We feel it all so deeply.

Another 12pm road trip to casualties. πŸ’”

Llew update: I’m sorry I can’t share better video clips, I really wanted to show you the full experience, but I’m not allowed to take photos or videos in casualties.

We’re really hoping he gets a bed soon. My poor man hasn’t been able to get any proper sleep, it’s constantly busy and noisy in there.

Please keep him in your prayers. πŸ™πŸΌ

Thank you so much for all your love and support. 🀍
