On December 24th 2013, after having been invited by a girl we met by chance in a Cape Town church, we visited and befriended a South African family in the township of Gugulethu, Western Cape. We spent Christmas eve with the most loving and caring people we have ever met, surrounded by small children who’s only hope was to get a hug or a small toy from us. There was more love in this place than any
other place we have ever been to. Having seen first hand the extreme and inhuman realities that these inhabitants face on an every day basis we decided to try and make a significant change in these wonderful peoples lives. 2 people contributing are more than one. 4 people are more than 2 and with that motto and mind-set, hopefully with the help of the people around us, we can and WILL make a difference. Hope for ”Gugs” was founded in the spring of 2014 by Swedish Photography Agent Sebastian Aaseby and his wife, PR consultant Alexandra Aaseby.
