You're alone with your thoughts, watching friends post from res, dodging family questions, and wondering why you still don't have a plan. In this first episode of Makhanda Diaries, we sit down with the manager and counsellor from the Rhodes University Counselling Centre to talk about the emotional weight young people in Makhanda are carrying right now. We get into the anxiety, the shame of being "left behind," the pressure from home, and how to tell normal stress from something deeper. No career advice. No funding hacks. Just an honest conversation about what life after matric actually feels like and where to turn when it all feels like too much.
