🚦 TRAFFIC UPDATE | FOURWAYS BOULEVARD & CEDAR ROAD

We hear your frustration, Fourways.

The traffic lights at the intersection of Fourways Boulevard and Cedar Road are currently not operational, and we understand the disruption and congestion this is causing for the community.

The Fourways Improvement District (FID) is actively working on a solution and has engaged the Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport (GDRT) regarding the issue.

In the interim, pointsmen will be arranged for the weekend to assist with traffic flow and help keep the intersection moving as safely and efficiently as possible.

🚗🔒 A moment of awareness can make all the difference!

Your safety matters, even when you're just making your way home or stopping at a traffic light. Smash-and-grab incidents can happen unexpectedly, so staying vigilant is essential.

Be mindful of your surroundings, keep your valuables out of sight and always be aware of what's happening around your vehicle.

Let's work together to create safer streets and protect our community.

Stay alert. Stay aware. Stay safe💚

The Department’s maintenance and response teams remain on standby to address reported faults and infrastructure damage.

Motorists are encouraged to remain alert, exercise caution at intersections where traffic signals may be faulty and report any road hazards.
