I have arranged with all the entities where there have been challenges like JRA - potholes, JMPD - Taxis, Building control - illegal building and of course the IEC for any queries about the demarcation challenges, plus others.

Since 1 June, the Fourways Improvement District (FID) has deployed a dedicated cleaner to maintain the area around the informal rank at the Witkoppen Bridge along Winnie Mandela Drive. These ongoing cleaning efforts are helping to improve the appearance of the area while creating a cleaner and more welcoming environment for commuters, traders, and the broader community.

This initiative forms part of our continued commitment to keeping the FID clean, safe, and well maintained.

We extend our sincere thanks to our members for their continued support, which enables us to take meaningful steps such as this to improve the precinct and enhance the experience of all who pass through it.

We are all the eyes and ears of our community.

We encourage residents, businesses, and commuters to report issues such as faulty traffic lights on key routes including Winnie Mandela Drive, Cedar Road, Witkoppen Road, Main Road, and surrounding areas. Logging these matters with the relevant authorities ensures they have the necessary information to respond and carry out repairs efficiently.

By working together and reporting what we see, we can help keep Fourways safe, functional, and well-managed for everyone.

Please take note that Cedar Road will remain open during the LIV Golf South Africa event taking place from 19–22 March 2026.

While the road will be accessible, increased traffic volumes are expected in and around Fourways during this period. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow for extra travel time.

Traffic Advisory | LIV Golf South Africa 2026 ⛳

Residents and motorists are advised of planned traffic management measures during the LIV Golf South Africa tournament at Steyn City Golf Estate, taking place 18–22 March 2026 (07:00–21:00).

With an expected daily attendance of around 25,000 people, increased traffic congestion is anticipated in Fourways and surrounding areas.

Important to note:
• No public parking will be available at the venue.
• Private vehicles will not be permitted at Steyn City.
• Parking along Cedar Road and Winnie Mandela Drive is strictly prohibited.
• Vehicles parked illegally or causing obstructions may face JMPD enforcement action.

Visitors are encouraged to use the official Park-and-Ride services, with buses departing every 60 minutes between 08:00 and 20:00 from:
• Montecasino (Primary Hub)
• Clearwater Mall

Please plan your travel accordingly and allow extra time when travelling through the area.

Work in Progress 🛣️ Witkoppen & Winnie Mandela Drive

Clean-up operations are currently underway at the corner of Witkoppen Road and Winnie Mandela Drive. Teams are on site clearing debris and improving the area as part of ongoing maintenance efforts.

This initiative is being carried out with the support of Better Fourways, helping to keep the precinct clean, safe, and well maintained.
