To serve, educate and provide for the desperate and deserted orphans and HIV infected widows with children through individualized, family-centred, community-focused care. Our motto is an extract from James 1 vs 27: to look after orphans and widows in their distress... We are a non-profit organisation that works within the communities to assist HIV+ widows, grandparents & orphans that are left destitute.

Women Empowering Women💪

What a beautiful and impactful day we had celebrating with women from America and our local communities!!

Under the theme Body, Mind and Spirit. Joana American missionary, shared her testimony of God’s power in her life and the power of having Jesus in your corner as a woman to conquer life battles🙏, while Mrs Mnguni a local nurse brought valuable insights on breast cancer and GBV.

It was a cold day but our hearts were warm with love , sisterhood and empowerment ❤️The day continued with fun activities , encouraging woman of all ages to be active through different body exercises, they participated in aerobics and netball 😊

There is nothing more powerful than woman coming together to uplift and empower one another. 💪💪

A heartfelt thank you to SADTU for a generous donation supporting IOP feeding scheme program.

We are truly grateful to all the teachers who donated towards SADTU Nelson Mandela Day initiative. The groceries received will provide more meals to the children in our care.

Also thank you for amazing stories , shared to the children, there were really inspirational , and are a great motivation to all the children.

WITH ONE SMILE , HIS WORLD CHANGED.

This young boy shared how at the age of 5 years being labelled because of his complexion left him feeling isolated and alone. But after one simple and pure smile from Kate Ellens Bain he felt worthy of love and acceptance.

A smile may seem small , but it has the power to restore hope, build confidence and change a life .

What a celebration 🎉 20th Celebration

It was a wonderful day , IOP celebrating 20 years of serving orphans , vulnerable children and widows in rural communities.

Kate Ellens Bain Our co- founder reflected on our inspiring journey of the past two decades while Ashling McCarthy shared the story of our valued partnership and the impact achieved together. One of the most moving moments of the day was hearing heartfelt testimonies from our beneficiaries, who shared how IOP has supported, encouraged and transformed their lives.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey; our partners, donors, volunteers, staff and communities. Your support has made 20 years of impact possible.

Today we found ourselves at Shoprite's Community Care Corner (Shoprite Biyela Centre), where IOP team members were gratefully presented with a R12,000 voucher from Shoprite South Africa. Soccer balls were on top of our list, as there are deeply cherished by all our children, boys and girls alike.

The voucher help towards enabling us to provide enough food to children and adults supported by the IOP kitchen.

Our sincere appreciation to the Shoprite Biyela Centre team.
