IN LOVING MEMORY OF HEATHER ELLENS ( KATE’S MOM) ❤️
It is with deep sadness that we remember Kate’s mom (Heather), who passed away just days after the passing of her son, Kate’s brother (Kian). As the family is still preparing to lay him to rest, they are now faced with the heartbreaking loss of a mother as well. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family during this incredibly difficult time.
Kate’s mom played a special role in the journey of Izulu Orphan Projects. She was more than a supporter; she was a kind-hearted friend who genuinely cared about our work and always wanted to know how the organisation was progressing.
Her kindness and hospitality will forever remain in our hearts. Whenever IOP staff travelled to Durban for training, conferences, or other organizational activities, she warmly opened her home to us. She gave us a place to sleep and made us feel welcome and at home. Her generosity extended beyond hospitality, as she also organised clothing and financial donations to support the work of IOP. She had a beautiful heart and a genuine desire to make a difference. Her kindness, generosity, and willingness to help will always be remembered with gratitude by the Izulu Orphan Projects family.
As we mourn her passing, we ask that you keep Kate and her family in your prayers. Please remember her father, Bill; her sons, Jedd and Kadde; her husband, Sherwin; and all family members grieving these painful losses. May God comfort, strengthen, and carry them through this season of sorrow.
