Eastleigh Ridge Residents Association would like to welcome you to our enclosed area. Our closure was approved in January 2001. Each street has a street representative on our committee, and we meet once a month. Our finances are checked by an accountant and our books are available to be viewed on request. We are required to hold a AGM once a year and this normally happens in May or June. Since we
have closed of our area we have seen a drastic reduction in the crime. The values of our houses have also gone up by at least 30 %.The closure is the area between Aitken Road and Terrace Road and includes High Road and Page Avenue and consists of approximately 320 houses.Mamba guards are contracted to man the booms. To start the whole project we worked on a initial input of R2150.00 per house. The monthly contribution is at this moment R320.00 per house. As a new resident in this enclosure we trust that you were made aware of this expense when you bought your home by either the estate agent involved or the owner of the property. We would appreciate if you would sign a debit order for the monthly contribution at the current rate. The debit orders are held by ERRA and a debit order clearing company processes the transactions for ERRA. Cheques, cash and direct deposits are not ideal as they are extremely time consuming to reconcile. The committee members are all volunteers helping to provide a safe enclosure for us all. It would be appreciated if you could fill in the attached debit order form and hand it back to your street representative or fax it as soon as possible. If you have any further enquiries please contact Sheryl. All street representatives have a white sign with green writing on it “ERRA STREET REPRESENTATIVE” on their wall for easy identification. All contributing members are issued with stickers for their vehicles, which offer’s them faster access at the booms. All vehicles without the valid sticker will have their registration number, make, colour and number of occupants written down in the access control book before the boom is opened. All vehicles must come to a stop at the boom so that the guard can clearly identify the sticker and occupants. We would ask that the sticker be attached to the lower left hand side of the windscreen (passenger side).
