ROTARY GATELY VISITS DAILY BREAD
On Monday, members of the Rotary Club of Gately had the privilege of visiting Daily Bread Child and Youth Care Centre and learning more about the important work taking place there every day.
Daily Bread currently provides care and a home for around 100 children, creating an environment where they can experience stability, education, support and a sense of belonging.
We were warmly welcomed and taken through the centre, giving us an opportunity to see first-hand the living and learning spaces, ECD area, kitchens, food stores, recreational areas and beautiful grounds that all form part of daily life at Daily Bread.
What stayed with us most was the dedication of the people working behind the scenes every day to care for so many young lives.
For Rotary Gately, the visit was about listening and learning — gaining a better understanding of the work being done, the challenges faced and where we may be able to make a meaningful and sustainable difference.
A heartfelt thank you to the Daily Bread team for opening their doors and sharing their story with us. We left with much to think about and look forward to continuing the conversation.
