FREE SU***DE PREVENTION AWARENESS TRAINING – SOSHANGUVE

As part of Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, Prof Lebogang Seoketsa, Commander of the Tshwane North Region – Chaplaincy SA, will be giving back to the Soshanguve community by presenting a FREE Su***de Prevention Awareness Course.

This important community training will help participants learn how to recognise warning signs, start the conversation, support someone in crisis, and know when to refer someone for professional help.

Terwyl die strate stil is, is julle daar. By ongelukstonele, langs die pad en waar mense trauma en verlies beleef, staan julle gereed om ondersteuning te bied.

Following engagement with the Centre Management, clothing was delivered, together with 2 × 50 kg bags of maize meal to support those in need.

R500 FATAL ACCIDENT
Chaplaincy SA extends our deepest condolences to the families affected by this tragic accident.

Sadly, 3 patients were declared deceased (P4) on scene. One critically injured patient (P1) was transported to Fountains Hospital and one seriously injured patient (P2) to Carletonville Hospital.

Thank you to SAPS, Fire Department, GPG, ER24, Forensics, Phoenix Towing, Sisonke Towing and all responders for their dedicated service.

A special thank you to our Chaplaincy SA volunteers, Theo, Chané and Nick, for providing emotional and trauma support to the families. Special recognition to Nick for assisting Forensics on scene.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with everyone affected.

A special thank you to Cmdr Terrie Terblanche who, during his own medical appointment, took the time to visit Ward 14, greet the staff, and share encouragement.

During his visit, he also heard a powerful testimony of a child who survived six months in ICU and is now back at school.

Chaplaincy is about being present, bringing hope, and encouraging others wherever we go.

Several women have been murdered in the East Rand recently. Behind every life taken is a grieving family and loved ones whose lives have been forever changed.

Chaplaincy SA’s Domestic Violence Unit stands with these families and every woman living in fear.

Lord, protect women in danger, comfort grieving families, and give us the courage to act against abuse. Amen.
