Childline KZN A person never stands so tall as one who kneels to help a child. Like, share & support our page! Every LIKE counts!

The 24/7 Toll Free Crisis Helpline provides an accessible and immediate service to all children in and around KwaZulu-Natal whenever and wherever they may require help. Callers are responded to by competent counsellors on any problem or issues of need via landline and cellular phone. It allows children to express their concerns and talk about issues that affect them. This skilled and efficient team provides these services based on respect, confidentiality and in a manner that demonstrate humility and dignity. All cases are reviewed and referred, follow-up and advocated for in the best interests of the children concerned. The counsellers then provide the following services:
- Crisis Intervention
- Support and Advice
- Couselling
- Empowerment

🌅🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ The road to Comrades and Two Oceans starts here!

Childline KZN is out at the Pick n Pay Sunrise Run 2026, supporting our runners as they chase their qualifying times and take another step towards their big race goals! 💜

As a proud Comrades Charity, our team is keeping runners hydrated, cheering them on and bringing a little Childline spirit to the route. Every kilometre is a step forward - and every step can be taken with purpose.

As we reflect on Heritage Day, may we continue building a South Africa where every child feels safe, valued and proud of who they are.

Keeping our Communities Warm this Winter. ❄️

Childline KZN was once again grateful to partner with SAICE (SAICE Durban Branch) who generously donated blankets to help bring some warmth and comfort to children at schools and families and individuals in need this Winter.

It means so much to have partners who continue to show up for our communities year after year. Thank you, SAICE, for helping us spread a little warmth and kindness again this winter. 💛

Stepping into a brighter future! ✨👞💛

✨Childline KZN was delighted to support learners at Ezikhawini and Duduzani Primary Schools with new school shoes.

✨A heartfelt thank you to East Coast Lions (East Coast Lions) for sponsoring the shoes and helping us bring comfort, dignity and confidence to our children.

Together, we can make a difference - one child at a time.🦁

Our Board – Our Heroes 🩵

Reflecting on the 2025/26 financial year, we’re reminded of just how much can be achieved when people come together with a shared purpose.

From our first Gala Dinner, to navigating a tough economic climate and bringing the Out of Bounds show to life - our Board has continued to show up, give what they can and keep the best interests of the child as their guiding beacon through a challenging year.

Every one of them is a selfless volunteer, giving their time, expertise and energy because they believe in the work we do.

And, true to form, they stayed on after our AGM to start planning this year’s Gala Dinner!

The work continues, the commitment remains, and the next chapter is already underway. 💙

40 years of people, purpose and impact: 40 years of Childline KZN 💙

Our 40th Anniversary AGM was a meaningful celebration of our journey and the people behind it.

Our Guest Speaker Omashini Naidoo reminded us that behind every statistic is a real person, a real story and a life that matters…

And behind the work are the people who make it ALL possible:

So, Thank you to our Board, stakeholders, friends and donors for standing with us, and to our National Office for the beautiful personalised gifts celebrating our team and marking this momentous occasion.

Three years. One incredible journey. 💛

Childline KZN is incredibly grateful to have been part of the Comrades Marathon Association (Comrades Marathon) family for the past three years and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the CMA for their generous support during this time. 🏃‍♀️

It was wonderful to attend the recent handover and celebrate alongside so many amazing NGOs doing important work within our communities. 💙

Thank you, CMA, for helping us make every step count! 🙏
