WOMEN'S MONTH GRADUATION: HOOK, HOPE & NEW BEGINNINGS 💜🧶

Today we celebrated something special.
Our amazing women graduated from our lCrochet Skills Course!

Look at those smiles and those certificates! These women are not just learning a skill — they are dreaming of starting their own small businesses to support their families.

A huge THANK YOU tThe Angel Network Durbanan for partnering with us and sponsoring the full cost of this course. Because of you, these women now have a new skill and new hope.

Rebuilding Hope in Quarry Heights 🏠❤️

On the 24th of July, a devastating fire burned down shacks at Quarry Heights. Families lost everything and were left stranded with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

They approached us at Mission Thando for assistance, and we reached out to the angels — Angel Network Durban. As always, they were there for the people who need them most.

Yesterday, The Angel Network Durban came through and wiped their tears by donating building materials to help them rebuild.

The joy and relief on their faces was everything. In the middle of loss, kindness showed up.

A huge THANK YOU to _Angel Network Durban_ for standing with the Quarry Heights community in their darkest hour. Your donation of timber, roofing, doors and windows means families can start rebuilding their homes and their lives.

Today a warm bowl of porridge was served to one of our beneficiaries. For many children, this is the first meal they’ll have today.

Today we served a delicious, hot meal to our beneficiaries! 🍛✨

Thanks to the generous donation of potatoes from SA Harvest, we were able to prepare rice and potato stew that filled both bellies and hearts.

Every container you see here represents a child and family in our community who won’t go to bed hungry tonight.

In this cold weather, in the morning, we served instant porridge to our kids before they headed to school.

On days like today, a hot bowl does more than warm little hands.

It means kids go to class with full tummies, more energy, and better focus to learn. For many, this is the first meal of the day — and it makes all the difference.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our incredible volunteers who wake up early in the cold to cook and serve with so much love.

Honor the Women Who Feed Our Community 👩🏽‍🍳

This Women’s Day, we want to celebrate 11 incredible women from Mission Thando.

Every day they give their time, energy, and love to cook for the kids and everyone in our kitchens. They show up early, they serve with joy, and they make sure no one goes hungry.

Now we want to make _them_ feel special and loved.

Will you help us spoil them?
We’re asking for donations of:
- Gifts - toiletries, scarves, flowers, pamper packs
- Food vouchers - to bless their own households
- Anything that says “we see you and we appreciate you”

Your donation, big or small, will go directly to these 11 women who pour into others every single day.

Last week we distributed fresh oranges, sweet potatoes, and hygiene products to our beneficiaries.

Every bottle means a cleaner, safer home.
Every orange and sweet potato means a healthier meal for a family in our community.
