🌱 Growing People, Not Just Food
Since 2024, Imbewu Yoshintso has been proud to serve as a supervisor for YES Youth through Wildlands Conservation Trust — and what a journey it's been.
At Rivier Uitsig, a regenerative farm nestled in Tatsfield, Howick, our YES Youth aren't just learning about agriculture — they're becoming skilled, confident young workers.
Here's where we've come:
📌 2024 — 10 YES Youth completed the programme. All 10 were employed afterwards.
📌 2025 — 5 YES Youth came through. 1 secured employment.
📌 2026 — 4 YES Youth currently in programme and thriving.
These young people are gaining real, hands-on experience in:
🥬 Planting & weeding
📦 Pack house operations — packing, labelling, sorting
🌿 How a working organic farm operates day to day
Rivier Uitsig supplies fresh produce to catering companies, restaurants, and retailers — and our YES Youth are part of making that happen.
This is what food security looks like at ground level. Real skills. Real work. Real futures.
