Do you want to change a life, but aren’t sure how to start? Feeling thankful for what you have, and want to share your blessings with someone less fortunate? Or maybe you aren’t sure what to get for Christmas for that person who already has everything? How about the gift of sponsoring a child for a year?

At Pfunanane, we seek to follow God’s call to care for those who need it most, and by providing sponsorships to these precious children, we can change their lives for the better. We provide not only a private Christian education, but also uniforms, books, stationery, food, and subsidized transport. We seek to care for our children and their families physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally, and we try to have a personal connection with each family.

We are in desperate need of sponsors for the 2025 school year, where individuals come alongside these children and commit to paying their school fees - over the past few years we have struggled to get missionaries, which has put a strain on our already stretched budget. A half sponsorship is $40 per month (700 rand) and a full sponsorship is $80 (1400 rand) a month, but any amount helps. In exchange, you will be connected with your child, receiving packets of schoolwork, photos, crafts, and updates a few times a year. You are also welcome to write to them or send them things if you wish, or even come visit to meet them!

School only starts for 2024 on Wednesday, but some of our incoming sponsored kids are so excited to be coming to Pfunanane this year they can’t stop wearing their new uniforms - and even slept with them the night they were given out! We cannot wait to welcome these new little guys to our program!

Driving around yesterday, on roads that would mostly not be accessible without 4x4 on our vehicle.. I was so moved by the beauty in the country side. Trees and gardens everywhere! In the midst of what most of the world would see as only hardship, and don't misunderstand, most residence face severe hardships daily, but there is also so much beauty! Smiling faces of familiar friends and people, that over the years have been given support and love by the people that faithfully serve in this ministry! Homes that are built with peoples own hands! Children playing in the streets while they are on their way to fetch water. Mothers carrying babies on their backs as they walk kilometers to buy their daily bread!
Thank you for your support for this ministry, so that we may be the hands and feet of Jesus. Thank your for your prayers, since daily we need Father's wisdom and guidance. Thank you for loving your neighbors! May you be blessed today! Remember to thank God for the blessings in your life!

Dance like nobody’s watching (or taking a video! 🤣)

This spirited, hilarious little girl still needs a sponsor (along with 58 other kids who are still waiting). Her name is Thato and she’s now in grade 5. We are in desperate need of more sponsors in order to keep the school running. Please contact us if you’d be willing to be the special person for one of these kids!
