Nearly 1 in 5 South Africans experience food insecurity, and millions of households face the reality of not knowing where their next meal will come from.

Despite the efforts of organisations across the country, the need continues to grow.

Sibling’s Keeper is grassroots, woman-led initiative focused on restoring dignity and supporting vulnerable women, youth, and children through practical, community-driven solutions.

Through our Keeper’s Pot programme, we work to address food insecurity by providing meals and food support to those often left out of formal systems.

This World Hunger Day (28 May), we will be hosting a community drive in Olievenhoutbosch (Centurion) with a clear and urgent goal which is to provide meals and food parcels to at least 50 families in one day.

We are currently calling on food donations (non-perishables, fresh produce, or prepared meals) as well as partners and collaborators who are able to support, even for a single day

Hunger is still a daily reality for millions of South Africans but together, even one day of action can restore dignity, hope, and relief where it’s needed most.

If you or your organisation would like to support or collaborate, please reach out or send me a message.

If your organisation would like to get involved or support this initiative, please feel free to reach out directly.

World Food Day | 16 October 2025

At Siblings Keeper, every meal we share is more than food, it’s hope served with love.

World Food Day reminds us that no one should ever go to bed hungry. Yet every week, we meet mothers who skip meals so their children can eat, and young people who show up to school on empty stomachs. Through our Keeper’s Pot initiative, we’re working to change that, one meal, one family, one act of care at a time.

This October, we’re calling on our community to help us feed 100 families through food parcel donations, grocery vouchers, or contributions to our community kitchen drives.

How you can help:
- Donate groceries or vouchers
- Sponsor a family’s monthly food parcel (R350)
- Volunteer your time in our community kitchen
- Partner with us as a brand or organisation to reach more homes

Every act of kindness adds up. Together, we can ensure no one is left behind at the table.

✨ Introducing Siblings Keeper ✨

Hi friends,

I’m proud to introduce Siblings Keeper, a personal and purpose-driven initiative born from my own experiences with job loss, single motherhood, and the kindness of others.

It’s a grassroots, woman-led movement focused on restoring dignity and creating real opportunities for vulnerable women, youth, and children in South Africa.

We’re launching this winter with four key focus areas:
💛 Hunger relief
💛 Job readiness
💛 Crisis intervention
💛 Keeper’s Flow, ending period poverty and keeping girls in school

We’re currently looking for partners and collaborators who share our values of compassion, empowerment, and sustainability. Whether you can help through product support, funding, skills development, or awareness and we’d love to work with you.

With love and purpose,
Zamokuhle Ntsele
