Nearly 1 in 5 South Africans experience food insecurity, and millions of households face the reality of not knowing where their next meal will come from.
Despite the efforts of organisations across the country, the need continues to grow.
Sibling’s Keeper is grassroots, woman-led initiative focused on restoring dignity and supporting vulnerable women, youth, and children through practical, community-driven solutions.
Through our Keeper’s Pot programme, we work to address food insecurity by providing meals and food support to those often left out of formal systems.
This World Hunger Day (28 May), we will be hosting a community drive in Olievenhoutbosch (Centurion) with a clear and urgent goal which is to provide meals and food parcels to at least 50 families in one day.
We are currently calling on food donations (non-perishables, fresh produce, or prepared meals) as well as partners and collaborators who are able to support, even for a single day
Hunger is still a daily reality for millions of South Africans but together, even one day of action can restore dignity, hope, and relief where it’s needed most.
