Silver looks good on you, Bennie! 🥈🐾

We’re celebrating Bennie’s Silver Canine Good Citizen certification, a milestone that builds on those all-important foundations.

Silver includes road walking, behaviour in a vehicle, food manners, staying in one place, impulse control and coming away from distractions.

For our assistance dogs in training, these are meaningful areas of learning. Travelling, waiting and responding to a handler despite distractions are all skills we want to keep developing.

CGC also reminds us that training is a partnership: progress belongs to the dog and the people helping them learn.
Congratulations, Bennie, your Silver achievement deserves a very proud celebration! 💛

A big round of ap-paws for Cleo, our Bronze Canine Good Citizen! 🥉🐾

Bronze builds on the basics and puts everyday manners into practice.

This level includes remaining calm around strangers, coping with distractions, walking through gates, coming when called and waiting while the handler moves away.

Why do we value these skills in our assistance dogs in training?
Because the everyday world is full of people, movement and distractions. Learning to respond to a handler and behave calmly in these situations is an important part of the foundation we’re building.

Cleo’s Bronze achievement is a milestone worth celebrating—not the end of her learning journey, but a proud step forward.
Well done, Cleo! 💛

Small paws, important beginnings

Every purposeful journey starts with small paws. 🐶🐾

Congratulations to Declan, Bella and Debbie on achieving their Puppy Canine Good Citizen certification!

At Puppy level, the journey begins with everyday foundations: interacting with their handler, walking on a lead, interacting with other dogs and practising food manners.

These may sound like little things—but they give us important skills to keep building on as our puppies grow and continue their assistance-dog training.

It’s a learning journey for the humans, too. Understanding a puppy’s care needs is part of being a good team.

Declan, Bella and Debbie: we’re celebrating your first CGC milestone and all the learning that lies ahead! 💛

Meet our Canine Good Citizens

This week, we’re celebrating five Paws with Purpose dogs who have achieved their Canine Good Citizen milestones:
🥈 Bennie — Silver
🥉 Cleo — Bronze
🐶 Declan, Bella and Debbie — Puppy

For our assistance dogs in training, these milestones are about more than a certificate. They mark progress in the everyday manners, confidence and teamwork that we work to build throughout their training journey.
From learning the basics as puppies to demonstrating more advanced skills, every stage has a purpose—and every achievement deserves a celebration.

Leave a 🐾 in the comments to congratulate our clever canine team!

🐾 Sponsor Thursday 🐾

We all need a little treat now and then and our amazing training assistance dogs are no exception! 🐶💙

Behind every focused, hardworking hero is a pup who deserves a little tail-wagging reward. And we know just how much our pups LOVE their treats! 🐾😋

Today we’re giving a special thank you to Doggylish for helping us spoil our four-legged heroes with delicious treats while they work hard towards their purpose.

Because a happy pup, a tasty treat and a little encouragement can go a long way! 💙

Thank you, Doggylish, for supporting our future heroes! 🐾
